People have good things to say about the Nittos. I am eager to see how they work for you.

Its somthing i will at least try once, they are rather priceyfor the milage you should get out lf them.
Quite honestly, im an advocate of burnouts and smoke shows, so at least while these are on the back, those other forms of entertainment have come to an end.

One launch under boost and you'll be hooked for life. I'm convinced it's some form of automotive crack. That **** just ropes you in.
Second set of wheels/tires for the "other" forms of entertainment.
Glad the project is moving forward!

I have the NT555R and they work well, mine still have decent tread and they've been on there a year and a half. Mine seem to work best with 15 to 16 lbs in them but I have more sidewall with the 325/50/15.

I also have quick time pro I use at the track but they don't last for **** if you actually drive around on them

I gave thought to another set of smaller diameter wheels, 18's would be about as small as i could go and still clear the rear brakes, however it would still be a chore to change them because the tire would be in the wheel well still, so i would have to disconnect the shocks and air bags to get the axle to drop far enough to get the tires out from underneath.

Knowing me, i would not care to go through that procedure, so, what wheels would be on it, would most likely be there till they were bald lol!.......

If it gets addictive, i might go to a smaller rear brake set up and go straight to 15" wheels with some real fattys!

Ah that's right. Totally forgot the Cad sits that low. Do you still run the skirts?

I feel your pain on dropping the axle, have to do the same. I've actually gotten pretty quick at it. Jack stands under the frame, disconnect shocks and rear of the leaf, drop it down and change. Have one set of wheels with the Nitto and one set with quick time pro/tubes and rim screws

I haven't had the skirts on since i had changed the axle out , the wheels are so offset that the latch wont cleat the spokes of the wheels, i have an idea to cut off all old mounting points, then attach with some quarter turn fasteners for a nice little touch

I need to do that. It's currently apart but should be back together soon and I'll update. I torched a head gasket in December at the drag strip....

just be careful letting the rears go too bald. I had a turbo 4.8 s10 with 17x9.5 in front and 17x11s in back, and the rears were ready to be replaced with the fronts being almost new. It was raining out and the rear hydroplaned but the front didnt. it came around on me and i hit a concrete barrier and ruined the truck, and was inches from being hit head on by a big suv. i was going straight at the time about 35mph 0% tps trying to coast down because i could feel it was getting sketchy.
that day is probably why i have all AWD stuff now
