Default 2000 SS 6spd PT7675 Rebuild

A little back story, I originally bought the car about year and a half ago from a member here. Originally was a 347 TC76 build with an older Hi Flow Turbo kit for those who remember them. Has full MWC rear suspenion and Fab 9, Cryotreated and built T56 with a RPS Carbon Twin disk and Aeromotive A1000 with an Aeromtoive BRFPR and aftermarket lines. Made good power and had fun for about a year. Here's the car..

Quick video ZexGx on here took..

Couple months ago as I was pulling in at home my dampner came off. Figured bolt backed out no big deal..NOT. So it came apart with help from my very good friend Gil @ 6LiterEater Designs and a few others.

Sold the Hi Flow and picked up SW07GT's hotside, coldside, and radiator set up. Along with a PT7675, Precision 46mm wastegate and Jonathan at Huron Speed hooked it up with a Turbosmart 50mm Raceport BOV and a new .96ar housing for the PT7675 I bought.

Here's a picture of the kit on SW07GT's car.

While everything is out I'm painting the engine bay. Got the radiator support cut out and ready to go. First time doing something like that but it turned out great in my opinion.

That's where I am at today. Decided to ditch the 347 for a LQ4(Time and $$ since a few things we're sketch about it). Should be picking up motor tomorrow and can get started on that. Waiting on a custom cam from my tuner, Ryne @ Cunningham Motorsports. Current plans are a SBE LQ4, ported 317s, LS6 intake, ARP Headbolts, LS9 gaskets, new LS7 lifters etc. Also have a set of Comp Magnum Rockers or Reunion Upgraded stockers. See what she makes on pump. No E85 readily available to me. Might add meth later.

Got a few goodies waiting to go on too! Can't wait.

Lol!! Thanks Ryan, but you'll have one of them fancy automagics and I'm too stubborn to ditch the 6spd.

It should run a lot better this time around. Made a few other changes and should be able to get it to run a number. 10s is the goal. I have a friendly wager with Dennis on trap speed vs his GT500.

Probably rebuild it myself after verifying bore size etc is still good. I'll throw it in my other car with the FAST102, ported heads and a Cam Motion Low lash solid roller. Make an 8k rpm screamer.

Never seen that before.. Must have been a defect. Good thing it didn't happen while you where hammering it.

Yeah I can imagine how that would of turned out.

I had been driving it pretty normal too due to a crack in one of the V bands on the crossover.

cool setup!

years ago, I was racing my H/C 6 speed setup (99 Camaro ss) against my cousins single turbo formula (stock engine, small turbo) on a back road in front of his house.

balancer came off my engine 140+mph around 6k rpms. I felt the power steering go, drove the car 1/2 mile back to his house thinking it was just the belt that came off, car was over heating etc, pop the hood and went ohhhhh ****.

a few days later, my cousin found it in the bean field, 1,000 ft from the road, and only a small piece of it was sticking out of the ground. I still have that balancer, still covered in mud etc. I didn't run it over, it didn't bounce around under the hood etc I wish I could have seen how it ended up where it did.

Jesus. I glad I was only going ~5mph. That's nuts. I had the same thought, how'd I lose the belt? Lol!! I thought my P/S pulley might of came off..I would of preferred that too.
