Default Help me price SC LS Build

I'm trying to learn as much as I can about a Supercharged route for my 1972 Chevelle. Maybe its a pipe dream but am wondering about the budget I'd need for either a Whipple or D1SC powered LS motor for my car. Goal is 700+ rwhp. Drivetrain is fine (4L80e tranny and 12 bolt posi)
I currently already have a 2003 Lq4 longblock that needs a complete overhaul.

Anyone have time to price me out what's needed and what kind of money I'm looking at?

More then you are estimating. Happens to me and everyone I know every time.

Cost me about 3k to have my 6.0 machined with a forged rotating assembly minus the crank that was sick but turned and polished.

I didn't do forced induction so you can probably save on heads and intake set up. But you are going to have to put that money saved into fuel.

All said and done my motor from intake to pan with required fuel components and tuning was about 6-7k

And you will be lucky if the rabbit hole doesn't swallow you at that point.
There is always another something that is needed before it's done.

I'm sorry. I know that's not much help for your legitimate question.
The point I'm making is it's always a lot more than you put on paper.
If your doing the work yourself your numbers are close however, you will probably add meth to the mix & better than stock fuel lines. Don't forget the intake piping may not actually fit from the kit with the larger intercooler that you will eventually want or need. Tune. Etc. etc.
don't forget the exhaust. Bigger is better. What ever you have now ... You will probably be wanting more.

Not trying yo talk you out of it .... Just good to know what you are in for.

Lol, oh I hear ya. Was the same way when I replaced the old 350 with a 95 Vette LT1 back in 1997. I'm crunching the numbers of the FI build Whipple, KB, Procharger vs a efi BBC, Stroked LS3, new LT1).

Just want to have an accurate 'baseline' on what I'd be spending.
