Default Water pump Questions???

Finally got motor and everything in car and ordered a vette pump so I could have the water pump fitting coming out the front and not the top like the truck pumps. after measuring the pumps I noticed the water pump pulley on the vette pump was about 1/2 too far back when compared to truck pump.

Is there a truck style pump with the fitting facing forward?????

So I need the pulley location same as truck water pump with forward facing fitting.

Thanks Kerry

The ls3 camaro pump lines up with truck pulleys, and has front outlet, but will also need the tensioner fot that pump.

Try Edelbrock, PRW or Evans pumps. They all have a bolt on pulley that spaces for the correct belt alignment based on different accessory drives.

I'm in a similar spot, keep in mind the ls3 pump has the outlet more on the drivers side, not all the way over there, but to the left of the wp pulley.

Assuming you've got a truck motor/balancer, you can also use the LS1 F-body pump with .75" spacers.

get a puller and pull the bell off the shaft a few mm, enough so the belt runs correctly.

It will only need around 5/16" at most.
