Default Formulas with front mounts fmic , step inside

I have a mwc front bumper support , and im trying to hang the fmic on square tube that goes to each end of the support .

I went to put the bumper on and its not even close to fitting , are you guys cutting the bottom part of the bumper that used to attach by 3 push pins to the metal factory bumper support??

the square tube has been shortened so its not 6 inches longer than the support . But its still about an inch overhang .

Basically just wondering how high and far forward you guys are placing the fmics. any one have any pics of how far foreward they ahve theirs from a top down pic ?

Its my first time doing a fmic if you cant tell so any help would be appreciated .

Im in the same boat you are on the fittment of my FMIC. Go to Brute speeds site and look at the Procharger FMIC kit pics. It shows how the bottom of the front bumper cover is trimmed off where the three tabs origianlly were. A member on here "Conan" sent me a full tutorial of build pics on his setup using an ebay 31x12x4 cooler. He used a Burkhart front bumper support and tilted the fmic forward at the bottom enough to bend a sheet metal air dam and use 3- 6" long bolts to give the bumper cover bottom something to fasten back to. Its a nice setup that will hold the bottom as firm as the stock setup did. The air dam also shoves a massive ammount of air into the radiator area. I personally would tilt the bottom forward enough to get the cover to wrap around it and fab up something like Conan did to hold the bottom of the cover solid. LMK what you end up doing.

Yeah it looks like they trimmed about 3 inches off it all the way across.

From the looks of your sig you must have decided to step it up for this year! At least with the Fab9 you can try to launch the car and not worry about popping the stock 7.5.

Yeah stepping it up. I figured I'd break the ten bolt but it never did. I wanted to go to the track last year but with 500 hp at the wheels I knew id break it.

So I will be going this year for sure

I ended up cutting the nose like the procharger instructions say

I hear you. I stopped racing my T/A because I didn't want to break the rear. Even though it is an auto car it was cutting 1.7's with the drag radials and it's only a driver so I don't want to mod it anymore. I will just wait until the Chevelle is finished to go racing again.
