Default Radiator mounted in the rear....anyone??

I've been doing a little bit of searching for this with very little results. I am changing up a couple things on my build and I am pretty sure I'm going to mount the radiator at the rear of the car. I have already cut out the tub/cubby in the trunk and taken measurements. I have a custom front mount turbo setup on my car and I'm changing some of the piping up and I feel like it would really free up some space for larger exhaust/downpipe etc and easier to route charge piping. Should also help with some cooling because I will be able to run a much better fan/shroud setup, when before I was only running tiny fans with no shroud and the turbo was literally 1" away from the fans. Also it will make it easier to mount the intercooler where I want it to go instead of just putting it where it will fit. Moving a little more weight to the rear can't hurt either!

Regardless, I'm mainly just in here to see if I can get some experienced opinions on this!

BTW this is a C5 corvette, obviously its in the signature but sometimes it doesn't show sigs on mobile sites.

Damn, so many threads. I know I saw one thread here about someone that did it, but it was at least a few years ago. I remember they ran aluminum tubing under the car front to back to help with a little more heat transfer. I'll see if I can track it down....

Just read through that thread and he ended up changing back to a traditional front mounted radiator. Said his stock waterpump couldn't flow enough. I have a Meziere elec w/p, I called them and they said it should flow enough to not cause issues. We shall see soon I guess.

We are running with the radiator in the trunk on a mustang with Ron Davis radiator and fan shroud setup. So far no problems at all

I see the link to my failed experience was shared haha. I should have had smaller lines, better water pump, etc. I had good intentions but no real research and just wasted time on fabbing everything. I can be done. Skinnies does it in his mustang. I thought about running two really small radiator with a fan on each one just tie them in sequence in hidden places.

Yup it can be done just everything has to be right in order for it to work properly.
I still would like the radiator in the front if possible because running hot coolant lines thru the car is not the best idea but it works fine for our car. We really didn't have any other choice because the way the turbo setup was ran. .

It's not going to be mounted inside the cabin. I have cut out the storage compartment and I will be mounting the rad/fan/shroud under that area. My exhaust exits at front bumper so this will all be mounted above where the factory mufflers go, just behind the diff.

I'm working off a iPad and the site doesn't seem to like it. I can text or email pics if someone wants to see them or post them.
