65 Buick update3
I orig had 4" exhaust back to the rear end, with a straight thru muffler and turn down-I didn't like the noise, so went to the truck store and got some 4" bends, and was able to sneak it over the rear out to the bumper-I had added the QA1 coil over conversion w/150# springs, so it gives the exhaust a little more room, plus rides nice, shocks & springs are adjustable
I had enough room for a Dynomax round 12" muffler, so I added that
Really surprised how quite it is now
Put the hood on this morn, hoping everything still fit, good to go-was able to save the hood latch even with the intercooler
Prob put 50 miles on it already, runs great-should have the new 9" rear in a couple weeks, prob build some 3.25's for it, then lean on it and tune some
Didn't want the project to run into summer, so beat that goal-prob paint it in the fall-right now i'll enjoy it
With the Buick I just loaded the chevelle tune, reuse all the wiring colors and everything was set-I haven't had to touch anything, ran perfect right out of the box, just hammer it and let the learn make the adjustments, lol
I bought the new little touch screen Holley came out with (553-108) instead of buying a bunch of gauges, it was cheap, I can program in any gauge arrangement I want, even do some minor tuning
If I install a roll bar, I will set the rear bars at that point to add some strength
the bottom bracket uses the orig shock hole, and you drill out another, just be careful the shock lines up good in the bracket

I couldn't be happier with the way it runs, from startup all thru warm up to hammering it (Holley HP, reused the tune from my chevelle)
Extending the 4" exhaust to the back bumper makes it def quieter
I had added a spring to the wastegate since it was opening to early, so I
set up my touch screen to flash a warning if I hit a programed boost #
I set it at 150 KPA, which I hit pretty quick, saw over 160 as it
was flashing red, prob bet 8-9 lbs of boost-prob go over that full throttle
and higher RPMs, but it was blowing the tires off
The little touch screen really fits my needs, I can set it up for diff warnings,
view diff outputs if I want
My 9" housing should be here in a couple weeks, I am building a center section with 3.25 gears, other than some minor tweaking prob stay that way thru the summer-I need a break, lol
