Guys are right...11psi is really low boost, so I can't complain. And yes, through mufflers 2.5"x2 and 2.5" tailpipes, 3.5" downpipe and air filter in place. Its absolutely a street car, but man is it easy to get caught-up with timeslips.

I'm also surprised though with how much the boost varies with the manual controller. It seems as if the warmer the outside temp is, the less boost I make. I was making 12-13 psi with my low setting when it was real cold out, now its like 10.5-11.5. Someday I'll figure out the Holley boost control LOL!

With the stock cam it had a few busted ring lands, smoked like a chimney, but Im starting to think shitty pistons don't affect power that much.
"turdly" - LOL!

You've got another 200hp on tap anytime you want it. IMO "Turds" don't get booted from the track for going too fast... on low boost.

Yes lol. Haven't had it back to the track yet but on the street it's a night and day difference.

Interesting. I can hear the turbo spooling a bit better at part throttle with this converter, but the engine seems to struggle to get to the redline. The "snowmobile" converter in here prior might be going back in.

FWIW I think the exhaust is really choking you. You are already necking down the 5" to 3 1/2" then going to dual 2 1/2". I would add another v band in the down pipe near the top of the firewall so you can remove the top section very easily then make a new down/dump pipe you can just clamp to turbo for the track. I would do it even to just see if the exhaust is holding this thing back before changing converters and spending a ton of cash chasing the problem.

This is true, but the exhaust was a street-car compromise. For the record the turbo outlet is 4", then to 3.5 and to dual 2.5". When I dyno I could disconnect the exhaust easily for testing purposes.

But again, 3600 lbs and 132mph at 11 psi aint too bad.

Sorry I didn't catch that the exhaust housing was the t4. I totally understand the street car exhaust but if you could uncork it at the track you would probably get much more out of it and you could make it as simple as removing two v bands and putting the dump on it. Like you said maybe just try it on the dyno then you will know. Or uncork it and see if it pulls better up top. Agreed mph is real good for that boost level but I can imagine it would be even better if it pulled hard to 6500.

I don't know if it helps mine spool or not, but I was able to get a 4" all the way to the rear bumper, and up over the rear axle
I used two straight thru mufflers, actually pretty quite, but the turbo hits pretty hard and spools quick
I had thought about duals, but with the 90 deg bends I got with a bell at one end, I was able to twist them around and get away with one single
You have a good MPH

I couldnt even really get 3" tail pipes in this case...just too tight back there. If I did, I would of needed really short 3" mufflers which would of been loud. I'm sure there may be some backpressure, but I do have straight muffs which should help. Just a compromise here, and I think an exhaust cutout would be the best option. As it stands though, racing is a rarity for me and I need this thing quiet so as to not attract unwanted attention. The screamer pipes are pretty loud though.

My wife says my car is quiet going down the track but it sounds loud to me.

Do all these turbo cars sound like tractors lol!

haha, I feel the sam way. Driving mine, it seems loud as hell, but always when I watch videos of my car at the track, you usually can hardly hear my car, and you always hear some bullet muffler'ed old nova or something next to me.

U guys make this exhaust stuff too complicated. 3 feet of 4" pipe, 4" cutout, 2" kickout. Done! Even with no muffler the 2" restriction makes the whole 4: DP work as a muffler. Quiet enough to talk on the phone with dump closed. I added a 2" tractor muffler just for kicks. It sounds like factory exhaust.

Force does the cut-out seal-up good? They kinda pricey and I'd be pissed if if wouldnt close up tight and sound like an exhaust leak.

A lot depends on how well you take care of it, but so far so good. They seal up pretty well. That ones about a year old. BadlanzeHPE is the brand. I’ve had good luck with them over the years. You can buy replacement motors and the owner is great about warranty work.

Here’s a sound clip on my DD turbo Lexus. 3” DP to 4” cutout. Then to factory 4 muffler cat back system. OEM noise levels with the dump closed.

Just an update, now that I have mostly 93 octane back in the tank, fuel consumption has gone back to where it was...pretty interesting and lesson learned!!!!!

Monte what is your 2-3rd drop now that you had the converter loosened?

Is it because of 10% ethanol in the fuel, or maybe its oxygenated or something? Good stuff! You should dyno it with that new converter and see how it does.

I have to tell ya after running it out hard at 12psi the sob felt real strong and seem to recover from the 2-3rd rpm drop nicely. I also smacked it with 16.5psi with the meth and it also felt good. But I do need a dyno day for sure. For all I know 12* could be seriously retarded - who knows.
