2.25 v bands or 3 bolt flange?

2.25 v bands or 3 bolt flange?

Buying hotside parts. The price is within a few bucks from squeeze.

I got one of their locking style v bands. Ive never welded them before so im sure they distort some while welding, thats why i did the locking to hopefully help keep it from doing so.

If you where building a 2.25 hotside what would you guys do who have actual experience? stick with the 3 bolt of cut them off and do v bands?

It comes down to personal preference, cost, ease of use, and ability. Do what works best for your application.

I did vbands on my ls3 manifolds as the flanges were actually in my way.

Like i said not much difference in price. v bands are maybe 10 bucks more and no issues in a fox as far as Clarence.

I used his v bands on my build, they worked well. I've never built another hotside to compare it to, but I don't see why v bands wouldn't be the choice to go with. As far as any distortion when heating them up, I had no issues and I have no clue what Im doing when I weld other than to melt ****.
