Default Is this cam ok for boost?

I have a cammed 5.3 that was not going to be turbo'd........well I have now decided to do twins and was wondering if the cam that I already installed would still work. It is a 228r

228/228 .588/.588 112 lsa.

Twin 61mm on3 turbos

Little tight on the lsa but should be fine..

You won't. Worst case it will be laggy and power curve peaky.

Okay thanks! hopefully it will do good! if I decide to change, what do you look for in a boost cam?

I wouldnt run that cam. its on XE-R lobes.... very aggressive and unstable.... the last two things a turbo cam really needs.

I was in the same situation recently. I've got a n/a cam installed already and was wondering if i should spring for a turbo grind. I was told it will be ok to run tho. It's a old thunder racing cam 220/220 553/553 114lsa for a twin turbo 5.3.
