Boost readings........

Boost readings........ I am stumped right now. My boost guage works on the vacuum side. When I floor it, it goes straight to zero and it just sits there. We can see on the scanner that the MAF reading goes to 40-44(.....not sure what unit goes there) on the top end. The car definately pulls very well.
I checked the vacuum lines that tie into the intake/ac/vacuum pump/surge valve and the the line that goes to check valve(I put a brand new check valve on it too). Everything looks fine and is hooked up(I even zip tied them to make sure they are secure...they're not closed).
Only line I haven't check(ran out of time and it was dark out) was the line to the boost guage. Would a kink in the line not allow it to show boost but show vacuum?
The line that goes to the back of the intake feels like it is on there. I did my best with my fat hands to get back there.
Everything feels fine.
Am I missing something? If pictures help, I can provide a digital picture(s).
Anyone have any ideas? I'm out of them.

You most likely have it hooked on the wrong side of that check valve. You should be tee'd into the side that has a single inlet. If you follow that plastic hose it should go into the harnes directly to the back of the intake. On the other side of the check valve one hose goes to the vacuum resevour up by the horns, the other goes through the firewall for the a/c stuff. The boost gauge and surge valve wont work correctly if they are hooked on the wrong side of that check valve, they will see vacum but no boost.

Thanks for the reply KP. I have 2 friends out here that are turbo guys and they got it corrected for me. I have 5# of boost at 4500rpms(we didn't want to run it up through because we didn't want to blow the motor on a stock tune(remember I ran an FMU forever)). But tonight Jeremy and I are going out to tune it. Jeremy is a master at turbo cars(he's tuned 2 STS Turbo kit Fbodies out here along with multiple 2.2Turbo cars(probe GT/MX6).
I can't wait. 9# of boost..here I come
