50/55s with a .63 A/R turbine are pretty damn small.
Then there is the hassle of the 5-bolt downpipe flange and the T3 inlet.
Spend a few more bucks and get something a little better.

That size and the 5 bolt outlet would work well with the TTI manifolds, but those limit the size of your turbos you can tuck under the block, so these smaller turbos would be good for that. My 6266's with S-covers did not fit with the TTI's, but also don't have the 5 bolt outlet.
I think these would be a decent size for a smaller 4.8/5.3 build, but $130 for a turbo? You get what you pay for in most cases, so I'd be cautious.

I'm really torn. I like the idea of the idea of the On3 bigger ones, higher quality, ball bearing, billet, but they are pricey at $850. Because of the size I'm concerned about lag. Also, I have emailed twice asking for a map, and they responded but did not provide map.
The GT35 are inexpensive and surely will spool up fast, but don't think will provide the top end power. So far I've had better response for CX racing.
Is there a middle ground?

I made 730 unlocked at 18psi with 3 dollar air filters on the turbos
If I had a better built engine I would have turned it up, pulled the filters, and locked the converter
Pretty sure they'll make 800+ before they're out of steam.
They package easily, light off quick, and are making big power for such a conservative tune.

That's relative. Also you didn't get a MAP because ON3 probably doesn't even know what a compressor MAP is. Be aware that when you deal with knock off Chinese companies, You are dealing with knock off Chinese companies.. Expecting the world from cheap **** and basing your goals off of unicorn build threads wont get you anywhere.

A turbo might be more or less efficient than another but the power levels aren't going to be drastically different per psi unless you run out of turbo, have serious back pressure issues, or you can't actually spool them.
I gained 6mph in the 1/8th going from 15 to 18psi, these are definitely still making power as boost goes up
I don't think those on3s are any better than the cxracing equivalent
They're probably made by the same Asian children honestly
Besides a power number, what are you plans/goals with the car?

Just buy a pair of PROVEN Turbonetics 62/65 T4 turbo's and be done with it. They'll last a long time, make plenty of power and give you piece of mind in the end knowing you went with a great product with plenty of power potential.
You can get them in an S cover in a 62/65, 66/65 (What I'm running on a 408) all the way up to 78/68. Under $800 each with a one year warranty.
My 408 lights up those turbo's instantly with a 3600 stalled TH400. I wouldn't chose anything different based on my experience with them.

My build plan is a stock LS1 (considering a cam), twin turbo, eBay turbo headers and 2->1 IC and I will build the plumbing.
