You could just order the same exact one, slap it on go for blast. If its fixed great, if not send it back. Order it from Amazon and dont get it dirty. Shouldn't have an issue returning. If you cant return it you can sell it for a little less.

You have a good point. I may end up going that route. DO you guys have any intercooler company suggestions for me to look into that dont cost a fortune. I am ok with spending a little more if its for a quality product. within reason ofcourse. My big thing is fitment. Needs to be a 3" core and i believe this one is a 27" or 25"... i cant remember and will have to measure when i pull it

My treadstone was almost a drop in replacement from the cxracing china IC. Much better core IMO. Around $500

3 inch core? Most run a 4inch core. Threadstone has a 1000 or 1200hp 3.5 inch. Can you fit that? Its $500

Fronm what i am reading most guys go cxracing, treadstone, or mishimoto. Any thoughts on the mishimoto g line intercooler? It seems to be the middle ground between the treadstone and the cxracing

http://www.on3performance.com/shop/o...-plate-design/

Check this out, they have a 3inch and 4 inch core. I highly recommend seeing if you can fit a 4inch

They claim that for $20 more you can get the version 2 that more equally distributes air across the ic. Maybe a good cheap option

^^ i will look into that. My only worry is that it may be to long. I know most camaro guys use a 31" intercooler. I can only fit a 27" or a 25". I am curious if i can get some more specs on that as far as size goes.

Take your old intercooler and try flushing it out backwards. No telling what u might find in it.

When i pull it today, i will try to flush it out and see what i find. If nothing Major comes out (shop rag, aluminum piece, dead opossum, etc.) i will cut it open just to see what it looks like on the inside.

I will most likely go with a treadstone. See how thick of a core i can fit in the car.

I go the CXRacing intercooler cut apart. Found nothing obvious causing the restriction. Here are the pics. Video to come... maybe.

Fin density looks better on the TS units.

I believe i am going to go the Treadstone route as well. They do not have a drop in replacement that will fit into my loacation. I have to have them make one. Basically i am gonig to use their end tanks with the air splitters and this core:

http://www.treadstoneperformance.com...tercooler+core

It will keep it small and be able to fit it into the space i have which is tight. It should make for a hell of a step up from the one i was running even if it was working properly.

How about bypassing the i/c altogether for testing purposes before dropping a $$$ unit in there?

I did bypass the intercooler. I have my findings listed above. Basically, i went from 4:1 back pressure to 2:1 back pressure on 5-8 psi. (different pulls without intercooler)
