More than you could afford pal, Ferrari. Lol

That's something Brandon would have to answer. I know what I have wrapped in parts.

The only thing i cut was the top of the core support to recess the radiator and then notched the fender support so that obnoxiously big downpipe would fit through. Other than that theres a lip welded to the lower core support to keep the radiator in place (even though its bolted to the car) and the tabs for the cross brace that holds the turbo up. Ideally i would have just chopped the front end off past the strut towers and redid it all in tubeing like the previous car i did, but this is a car that needs to stay street friendly.

Yes thats a BBC stuffed in there with plenty of room to work with. 25.5 cage Full cowl/firewall delete and redone, tube front end with built in weight box. One piece removable front end with stock fenders/bumpers

Well it's been a long time since an update from this as I needed to take a break of throwing money at it and working a lot of hours and days at work, but I was moved to third shift two weeks ago and that's all it took for me to get my butt back into it.

When I got the car back me and Brandon couldn't get the brakes to stop leaking so I order all new fittings and took the front lines out of the car completely and redid them on the bench compared to in the car. Bleed them and all was good. Mark that off the list.

Next was the cooling system. Since I replaced the radiator and way the cold side routed I had to ditch the stock coolant reservoir And the new rad did not have a provision for the steam tubes. I did some researching and found the 1qt Jaz overflow tanks and ordered one up. I ended up finding some left over aluminum at work and made a decent bracket for me to mount it where the stock one went but was able to clear the cold side. So that solved that. Then the steam port was left. Looked up how the system circulates and found out that placing the steam to the upper rad hose was how it circulate and thank goodness Brandon made a custom upper rad line and I was able to drill and tap it and added a barb fitting and connected right to my steam vent and mark that off the list as well.

So the only mystery I have left is an oil leak that I have narrowed it down to a few things, oil pan gasket, valve cover gasket, opsu or cam sensor. And my turbo feed line was leaking. I will be replacing the valve cover gaskets when I put in some BTR pushrods when they show up. And have already ordered new fittings for the feed line. That will be here tomorrow. While the car is on jacks I have changed the oil again, replaced fuel filter, replacing the trans mount with a poly one.

So now that I have the rear end setup going I decided while it was out it was time to update the rear suspension. So with the car on jack stands I took the non adjustable BMR lower control arms out and replaced them with double adjustable MWC lower control arms along with a MWC double adjustable panhard bar and BMR relocation brackets. Took the stock shocks out and replaced them with strange single adjustable shocks. And to finish it off I got a MWC short torque arm with tunnel mount. And after ordering the torque arm hardware off Kyle at BMR I put an order in for a 25mm rear sway bar with new links and bushings to replace the 19mm and 158k mile worn out stuff. Will get more pics tomorrow

Is that a 10bolt rear? Put them pennies away for a 9inch rear. Otherwise looks cool.

What I love most about this build is the fact it's a SBE LS1 and not a 4.8, 5.3, or 6.0. You just don't see many SBE LS1 turbo builds, and I really don't understand why.

Because ls1s are way over priced and hard to come by compared to 4.8s/5.3s/6.0s

This. Not to mention most SBE builds are more budget minded. Selling off the LS1 and picking up a truck motor could free up some cash for other parts of the build. In my case the LS1 was blown when I got the car so I needed something.

There's a local guy to me that has a SBE LS1 in his Z28 with my old turbo kit and Turbonetics 7875. He's been 6.40's in the 1/8 so far with more room to go.

I should have clarified more I guess. I don't understand why someone who already has a LS1 would opt to go with a 4.8 or 5.3. I guess if you can sell the LS1 and make some money over what a 4.8 or 5.3 costs, but it can't be that much money to be made.

IF all goes well this winter, i may have a SBE LS1 turbo build in the works. Nothing too crazy, just a nice little tc78

What kind of HP are you shooting for? I'd realistically love to make 700+, but do it with a cheaper turbo, like an On3.
