Default 5.3l turbo build questions

Hey guys, I picked up a 5.3l gen 3 STOCK engine, 100,000 miles, I have a tick stage 3 turbo cam to install, texas speed PRC.675 lift valve springs, 7.4 trickflow hardened pushrods, stock rocker arms, lifters and heads. ls9 head gasket, stock ls1 oil pump, ls2 timing chain, ls1 intake. (arp head bolts maybe studs if needed)

Turbo is a bw s475, 40mm jgs wastegate(may go with 2 if needed), 93 pump gas with 50/50 water meth blend injection, 80lb injectors, dual wallys,

Please give some input/thoughts/advice on this setup

Questions:

how much hp can i push this engine to roughly to make a street beast on a "safe"(ish) tune? (Tick will be doing my tuning once I am done)

Is it worth swapping for gen IV rods and pistons, if so what all is needed, or is it just a direct in and out swap?

I have 317 heads, but I believe my stock 5.3 heads will be better since they will not drop the compression as much as the 317s, input?

I noticed "sloppy mechanics/denmah" pushes nice power out of crazy setups, I am shooting for something fairly similar to his power in a few builds.

So if there is any advice on what do or what not to do lets I would appreciate the input.

Thanks for any advice or pointers

About 650 rwhp is considered a safe limit for the Gen III motors, although folks have pushed them much harder. You have to consider vehicle weight, rpms etc. Good news is that your turbo will make boost a little higher in the rpm curve and the cam pushes peak tq further up too so that will help things live (longer at least)

What year 5.3 did you get? My 2005 has Gen 4 rod design and LS2 timing chain design.

From the advice I have gotten on the heads just stick the stockers.

Might want to look into a Trunion upgrade.

Will this be on an auto or manual car?

Auto car, I thought about trunion upgrades, but I read those don't fail too often. So I may take the chance on trunions. It is a gen 3 motor. I believe 2000 to be exact. Currently has a powerglide, but I am debating on swapping to a 400 or a 4l80e
