Bobs business is blowers so of course he's going to talk them up, just like a turbo company would. Prochargers are to damn expensive and SUCK on f bodys, the plumbing is horrible. I was in the market for both, not having any preferences, and after learning so much about both, and having a dad with turbo and paxton cars i was around both, i chose turbo and would never ever look back, so many people switch to turbo and never go back, ive never really seen anyone be turbo and swap to a blower and love it more? Im sure there are some but not many.. id only choose a blower if i had a 6spd car and picked up a kit used and just wanted like 550whp. I could sit here for an hour talking up turbos, i mean $$ and power sense, i dont see how any blower out does a turbo for a street car. Id choose nitrous over a blower if i didnt go turbo. I an biased towards turbos now, only because theyre flat out badass. I also LOVE big power procharged cars, but not the $$ they cost and how hard those belts are pulling on the damn crank.

Well, I'm on my second procharger, I upgraded from a D1 to an F1-A and absolutely love it. I was making 760/700 with the D1/347 combo, and I'm north of that now with the 416ls3/F1A combo, how much, not sure yet, but it's more than my old setup.

I've read and heard alot of issues with the F1-X and up blowers, and I'm not sure the reasons people have had issues. But for a fun street car, up to about 1000hp, it's hard to beat the simplicity of a p1/d1/f1a,c,r procharged setup.

You can bolt it on over a weekend. With an 8-rib, sprung tensioner pulley, belt slip is all but eliminated and you don't have the overheating issues or oiling/exhaust/boost creap issues you have with turbos.... and turbos have their own set of headaches and issues.

Fact is, there are going to be issues with a high hp car, just figure out what you want to do and do your homework.

I've not had 1 issue with my F1A. I never shredded a single belt, etc. Only issue was not running the Gates Greenback belt from the start. The Dayco belt never stretched enough to fall off after 2 years.

I've watched someone start their F1A build, change to turbo and still not have a running car yet. I like to keep **** simple and just enjoy my car! No turbos, boost controllers, CO2, wastegates or oil feeds.
