I just got the Walbro 450lph pump installed. I only drive about 8 miles to work, one way, when I do drive it. Fuel heating shouldn't be an issue for me.

The HP/Boost thing is all in the tune. Don't go too small on injectors, it might suprise you what the car makes in the end.

Is there a specific 450lph pump you used? Or was it the same one I linked?

It SHOULD be the same pump. I bought the kit from Summit.

I buy a lot from Amazon, but I bought this from a familiar place, you never know.

Don't skimp on your fuel system when playing with FI. Do it once and be done with it. Doing it cheap or trying to find a shortcut just means you get the opportunity to do it again and do it right.

FWIW I have 80# injectors and had a 255 Walbro from a few years ago and would run out of pump on the dyno making pulls putting down low 600's.

Upgraded to a Squash fuel pump with dual 450's and run the car daily with zero issue and have plenty of room to grow. Limitation now is my injectors but I figure I will blow apart the bottom end before I max those out right now.

I believe a single 450 will fit just fine. Now the dual 450s won't fit in a stock bucket, that's why squash makes a nice custom kit. Running E85 you are gona run out of fuel pretty quick if you eventually swap head units. Once you get a taste of the p1 you will be wanting to swap for a D1 and so on. That's why I say just go ahead and throw a dual intank setup in and go.

im getting a ton of mixed opinions on whether that 450 fits or not. as for changing blowers i probably wont, im sinking too much money into this car as it is ill most likely leave it alone after this. if the 450 does fit and if i run out of pump i can always get a boost a pump i suppose

I heard you needed to mod the fuel bucket for the 450 to fit. Not really sure, I didn't install my pump.

I'm sure the 450 would fit in the bucket, but would require modding/cutting of the bucket to make it work. The base on the 450 is bigger then something like a 255. The main body could be a larger bore but going from memory there was room to spare when doing the 255 in my old stock bucket.

Modifying the bucket you need to keep in mind that you don't have the pump at the bottom of the tank anymore so you don't have the fuel in the bucket to cool the pump if it gets low and 1/8 tank essentially becomes your new "empty" mark.

There are many write ups on the internet on what is required to install a Walbro pump in an F Body. Bob
