Finally progress and traction 9.39@144.48
#6
Well, I'm not setting the world on fire like some folks, but steadily progressing.
After changing gears, tires and adding the PTC converter, I've been chasing my tail a bit.
Lesson learned, don't change 3 things at once!
3 weeks ago, turned it up and lost a head gasket. LS9 gaskets on now.
Previous best was 9.45. Last year. Different track.

Great Job! Hard work has gotten you here and will get you even farther. Triple changes? You are a glutton for punishment, hahaha!
If you don't mind my asking, at what point on the track have your traction issues been happening?

Hey, thanks guys!
On E85, and timing is 17 degrees from 5600 up.
Converter is a PTC 9.5", 18 stator. TH400 that I built with help from Jakes, 3.42 12 bolt and I'm running 9x28 M/T pro bracket radial slicks.
Foot brake off the two step at 3000. Makes 6 psi there. I'd like to get that boost up a bit. Can't go much more on the rpm.
I've had my share of head gasket issues. But none tune related.
Having a blast btw. Fun challenge!
