Need advice 88mm 408" LS3
I have a 2000 WS6 that is all blown apart for installation of 408"LS3 and W2A Intercooled PT88. Will have Arbruzzi glide with turbo convertor, has Strange full tilt 9" with S Trac diff. Compression is 9.5:1 and it has 92mm bigmouth on Aaron's elbow, and deca 80# injectors. Need suggestions on camshaft and rear gearing. Mainly track but some street use. Need reliable for 100 + mile cruises. What kind of performance can I wring out of this combo?

All of that, and staying within the limits of 80 lb injectors???
Call up Tick or LJMS if you want a custom specced cam. Either of them will give you something that will work better for your combo than any shelf cams.
Rear gearing depends a lot on tire size, but longer gears usually help with a turbo. I run a 3.55 rear gear with a 28" tire with a 4L80e trans (think TH400 gearing).

Currently have 3.70 gear but expecting to change it. Limited to tire size that will fit Gen IV Fbody. Upsizing injectors is OK. Fuel system will handle it. Will call about custom grind. Want to stay hydraulic. Thanks for quick response.

It is a T4 and that has worried me somewhat. This is not an all out race project but I just want it to surprise some folks at the strip. The hot side (TTi) makes it possible to easily convert it to a T6 setup if it proves to choke up higher in the RPM range. I have not ruled out doing so later. If I can see 10-15# of boost it will be a good start. Have you had experience with this combo? I am trying to get some quantitative idea of what to expect.

it will spool like a light switch for sure. The problem is the turbine wheel is way too small. Depending on the tuneup and the cam it will make 15# on the line at 3K rpm and be out of steam by 5500.
By all means run it if you have it and just want too. How fast are you looking to go and whats the budget?
To answer your question, no I have never used that turbo but it makes great power on small motors.....like 300" and below.

It is a t4. First turbo build but lots of N/A drag race experience. Going to look at going to a better match for the 408 later on but for now.... Going to see how this does. Should be easy to upgrade to a t6 if this doesn't do what I want. Not looking for numbers, except in the quarter mile. No need to make more than I can put down at the track.

@01transampower.... Did you ever get to the track or get any Dyno numbers? And was that a t6 flange you ended up with? My main concerns are about back pressure and rpm. My turbo is new so if I need to upgrade I would like to do so before I run the pt88. Should get more for it if it hasn't been run, I would think.

Nice! May be having fitment issues with the 88 on the TTi kit. MightymouseLSX said that they (TTi) have a jig for welding up a slightly different piece to make the 88 fit at a slight angle. Has anyone else heard of this solution? Will they still make this piece?
