Thanks everyone for the compliments, trans is kinda sloppy
& rear is making noise so they will be coming out soon.
It's geared 3.70 but I've got a 3.25.Thinking of throwing
that in to see what happens. Might be a little
much for the 1.76 glide. Anyone else using that combo?

Would love to see a data log if that would be ok.
Had a bunch of problems with plug connection. Rewired it 4 times,
Used a Holley 3 bar, a DIYautotune 3 bar & one from the local
dealership. Thought it was fixed but dropped signal on the sbc
@10psi. Broke some rings & gouged the block.
I can email you datalogs from the last track visit. Shoot me a PM.

Curious if you noticed any of that-seemed to work better before they

HAHAHA I've been chasing this exact problem. It was worse on the
5.3. Cruising between 40-55 is the worst area. MY AEvsTPS & AEvsMAP
RoC Blanking are at 6 & this has helped just havent had a chance
to try it any lower.

Hell i have a 3.08 rear end with a 1.80 on the glide.. 26" tire though. I cant give you any feedback for another week or so but i don't think you'll have a big problem with the switch.

Were not the only ones having that hesitation problem, lol
I am at 6 also, but much lower I understand it can start adding fuel at idle
I view the fuel map, give it a little throttle, try and fatten up the square the orange ball moves to, seems to help-all the learning was doing was making it leaner and putting the hesitation back in
Off idle its flawless

3.25 it is then. Just read yenkomike has a 1.76 & 3.23. From
the pics he's probably got a better 60' than me.

Glad it's not just me then. I thought something was wrong the first few
times it happened. I'll make my wife drive so I can watch the laptop &
try to get it worked out.

Try and fatten up the fuel table on the area it hesitates. Find out where it's lean through a datalog. The accel enrichments will only "reach" so far onto the main table and if it's too lean, the accel enrichment won't be enough. It'd be like puttin a bigger squirter in a carb when you actually need a bigger jet. In all actuality the car should run fine without even having to touch the accel enrichments. I have a car with a stack injection manifold and the Holley Hp efi on it. Talk about a terrible hesitation. I spent some time tuning the fuel table after data logging the lean spots and now we're good.

While at the beach cruise, I played with the main fuel table, lit up a few squares around the ball, and gave light throttle so I could feel the hesitation, then used the arrow keys to fatten it up, was able to get rid of it, drove much better-I had it on learn starting at 500 RPM's to get rid of a problem, but it would also put my hesitation back in-I made a copy and moved the learn back to 1600 RPM's, so it wouldn't keep leaning it out
I could prob leave the learn low, and change the AFR's in the problem area to a little richer just off idle and also cure it, since that's what the learn runs off-still learning my self, lol

Glad you got it figured out! Really no need to have it learn real low. It's usually idle which you can manually adjust, just as you've done. Glad it worked out. Makes the car much more enjoyable.

Thanks, Love your car!! It's amazing the results you've had with the 5.3.

Pulled it apart the other day for a head swap & freshen up the
transmission. Picked up a set of AFR's off eBay. I never realized
that 1 of the 862's is a notch head. Used cometic's & copper spray.
Showed no signs of leaking or fatigue on the gasket or head.

Thanks. Doesn't rub at all. Will be cutting the airboxes off & redoing the exhaust in aluminum with mufflers this winter.
The full exhaust is ran beside the frame & would rub slightly. Fender exit is too loud & full exhaust is too quiet. Heres some pics

Heres the full exhaust downpipes

Spray 280 I have followed your build on Turbobullet. I'm doing an almost identical LS build in a faded green 69 nova. I'm about to order V series weld wheels. Your backspace looks perfect front and rear. What wheel sizes and backspace are you using all around? Thanks a lot.
