Have you considered using a louvered AL panel behind your intercoolers (wheel side)? If you keep it about a 1/4 off the back and face the louvers downward it would work pretty well at protecting the heat exchanger and allowing adequete flow.
A screen with a tight enough weave to stop small stones will be fairly restrictive.
For those who asked, I don't really keep track of how much time or money I have invested into the car. I really don't want to know.
The downpipes are 3inch. I had planned to run 2 intercoolers to get better airflow to the condensor/radiator and also so I could reinstall the bumper support. The cores on each intercooler are 15x6 and 4.2 thick. Definitely marginal for what I'm trying to do, but everything is a compromise.
I'm not all that worried about damage to the cores considering they're in front of the tires, but I guess time will tell.
The coating was done locally by LoKo, and other than the headers dulling a bit, everything is holding up nicely so far. The headers are coated flat black on the inside.

What gates are those?
Looking good there Jim
