I'm wondering why you only run 43.5 PSI. Don't most LS platforms run 48 PSI?

58psi is factory setting on most applications.

there might be some notable difference in atomization from 43-58psi but it makes the injector a tad bigger as well. If the vaporization gained doesn't out-weight the low duty cycle controllability it is a moot point as far as tunability goes.

I am putting back in the deka 80 injectors today, they are cheap but really too big for this setup. The car has a 450 pump, so in the unlikely event that I run out of injector I can go up good bit higher on the base pressure.

Thanks for having the sack to put this out there. These trouble shooting threads with honest info are awesome. Seriously, this type of info is why mechanics charge $100/hr. Glad you found your issue!

Well perhaps someday soon I will be able to drive this thing and something won't break.

Today was not the day….

Are you running the truck accessory? I get the same thing with both my turbo setups but not all the time just when it decides it needs a taste of rubber. On the Escalade I went through 3 belts in one month, it would eat half the belt then it would keep the remaining and it would not eat it at all. The S10 was fine for a few months and then suddenly out of the blue it was idleing and just started throwing rubber chunks out of the engine compartment. Changed all the pulleys and tensioner along with water pump when the motor went in and everything is aligned perfectly. New belt and it has seen 6500 rpm a few times with no issues. Right before I pulled the trans it was ideling and got rubber greedy again.
