Some of the most important components of the build are going in now.

Hopefully she’ll be running next week and I’ll see how well the AC works. Looking forward to getting her on the dyno with boost control.

Brand new Holley fuel regulator has a hole in the diaphragm and is leaking fuel directly into the intake through the manifold pressure line. Called Holley to order a new diaphragm and their answer was,”sorry, we don’t sell just the diaphragm, you have to buy a whole new regulator.”

Roger that, I understand. So Sweet Pea will be getting a brand new fuel pressure regulator but it won’t be a Holley.

Washed out the rings on my SBC with a bad Holley regulator. Feel your pain.

Holley products and support are horrible! I've had really good luck with this Mallory. (e85 too) Has true 1/2 inlet/return ports as well. Used 3 of them now. Never had an issue over many years. One on my rx7 is like 6 years old now.

Summit and Jegs carry Holley reg repair kits for Holley regs.

Thanks for the insights y’all. I appreciate everyone’s feedback more than you know. But there is no way this car, or any of my future cars, will have a Holley fuel pressure regulator on it after the headaches this one has caused.

On the bright side, once the new FPR is here, sweet Pea should start and then begins the tuning.
I’m pretty excited.

Looks like the 275 pros fit courtesy of the BFH.

Hope you don't have problems with the steel wheels and 1/2" studs. There was another Nova on here that was having problems with the studs sheering off.

i broke down and ordered some weld draglites. I may paint them black but I at least wanted something old school looking that would hide the disc brakes. I’ll probably use the steel wheels with some pep boys mud and snow tires for cruising.

Make sure you're wearing jeans when you walk past those quarters, lol. They add to the sleeper look for sure. Love this thing!

First time she has stood on all 4 in a long time. I think she looks good with the 275s. Has the perfect rake.
