Then this piece of unobtanium finally comes in. Time to swap this one on and upgrade the injectors before the new tune. It’ll be ready just in time for high heat and humidity.

New intake will go on and I’ll upgrade injectors at that time (ID 2000s) then retune. I might get to the track late in June and then I should have something to post.

The company that built it asked where we wanted the inlets and outlets for the radiator and we told them,"in a bag." That will allow perfect placement of the bungs for this setup. Still going to use the leftover truck radiator hose to get this plumbed. Then it needs a downpipe and the intercooler hooked up and she should run. I'm looking forward to Sweat Pea moving under her own power.

What size and CFM are your fans ?

Not sure, whatever FSR recommended and built. The radiator was sized to fit the space available and it cools fine.

Going to try a slightly tighter converter as well. I’ll see what it does to driveability and spool.

Nice curious to hear how the BTR intake works out for you.

I’m curious as well. I plan to test it with a bit more rpm than I ran before. Hope to have it out by the end of June.

Awesome build. I run the BTR intake on my setup. It's a BTR stage 2 cam, FI s476 with a 96mm turbine, 1.10a/r and T4 flange. Peaks around 72-7300. Not sure if its BP limited or if I'll pick up some extra RPM spinning the turbo a little harder.

Got her tuned and hope to get to the track this weekend. I’ll need to make a new exhaust and open it up to make full use of the BTR intake and the rpm potential.

Still got a chance to get the exhaust done. She needs to be started to see how loud it gets. Goal is whisper quiet at idle and cruising with boost activated cutout opening to let all hell break loose unde boost. There’s plenty room for more mufflers if necessary.

Is the exhaust still setup like this?

Yes it is. Same exhaust that necks down a little too much for the new combo and rpm goal. Going to redo it so there is 5” from turbo that splits to 4” and 3.5” cutouts which should allow it to exhale properly.

I log post turbine backpressure. I’ve got full 4” all the way out behind the right rear tire. With the wastegate recirc’d into the downpipe, I was seeing 2 psi backpressure at anything above 12 psi of boost. Going to a screamer pipe off the gate, I still see 2 psi post turbine, but it’s now only after 17.5 psi of boost. Didn’t do any before and after runs to see the improvement, but I’m sure it didn’t hurt. Also dropped preturbine backpressure from 1.5-1.6:1 down to 1.3:1.

I run 5" off the turbo as far as I can, then neck down to 4" by the shock tower back to below the passenger seat w/ a cutout and 2" to the factory location. I'm 1:1 on my dome pressure to boost.

Right now my pre-turbine backpressure is 10psi at 20psi boost through second gear. Backpresure to boost is 1:1 when coming up on the converter after releasing the trans brake.

I plan to turn this engine up to 8000rpm and go 30+ psi so I’m sure I’ll need more exhaust flow. Right now she’s not even working hard and she went just as fast as she did before changes with 5psi less boost so we’re doing something right. She’s also asking for a bunch more power on the hit.

Almost matched my previous best pass on 5psi less boost with the new combo. She needs a few bugs worked out but I hope to have her ready for SCT Bowling Green in August where I’ll try to defend my no-prep true street title.
