At least not the first day. I tried to run it out the back door on Saturday and the gold box cut off. I thought I hit a rev limiter, raised it and the ECU cut off in the middle of my wheelie. Cut off a third time shifting into 2nd. I've spent 3 days on the phone trying to figure out how the get the box to log and never could. I was actually told to go pro my AFR gauge lol. I put the car on the trailer Saturday for fear of hurting something with the computer cutting out. I ended up missing true street and index. The gold box is going in the trash and I'm putting a Holley system on it. Everything on the car was flawless except that junk ECU.

The wheelie is hurting my 60'. I'll ditch the 90/10s and go with Viking coil overs in the front I have left over from my Chevelle. It should ride better and keep the nose down which will improve 60'. Even though the wheelies don't help the 60' I'll admit they are fun.

Once the Holley is working I should be able to log, have boost control and get the ethanol sensor to work. With some data, e85 instead of 93 and boost control Sweet Pea should be a handful.

What springs do you have in the front? I've got big block Moroso trick springs, I think they're 275#.

Bummer, was hoping for a killer pass-on my 74 nova build I was looking at cheaper ign systems, but will prob save somewhere else, loved the 2 Holley HP's I had on prior cars, still have my old tunes so simple to fire up another HP, use all the same wiring colors on the in/outputs.

I believe it's v6 springs with coil cut. be switching to Viking coil overs soon.

What injectors are you running? I run the Holley 12-1800 also with FID 1300's and I'm already at 95% IDC with 50 base and 13psi. Gonna turn base up some and add a BAP on the second pump see if I can squeeze another 150whp

Does the gold box have an SD card slot for logging?

MS3 does a phenomenal job of everything you mentioned (including extremely fast logging to an SD card), and it's even cheaper than the gold box. Requires another microsquirt to run a 4L80e though if that's what you're running.

ID 1300s. They should be fine for me even when I go to e85.

It does have an SD slot but it won't recognize any SD card I insert. Yes, I even found a 2 gig card because tech told me it wouldn't work with anything over 4gig. The box is getting worse. It can't handle vibrations or voltage spikes. The software looks awesome and it would be great if it actually worked.

I have another car with a Holley dominator and it is fully epoxy potted and the software is more intuitive. With the time and money I wasted this weekend, I would have gladly spent a grand or two more upfront to not have issues at lsfest.

The good news is everything else on the car worked as anticipated. I can't wait to get the ECU sorted and some other minor changes and let her eat.

That's a bummer. Maybe the gold box stuff isn't as robust as the MS3 stuff? Seems unlikely, but I've never heard of these kind of issues with MS3. Or MS2 or MS1, for that matter.

At this point, I don't know and I don't care. I'll go with what I know will work even if it costs a bit more.

I did get a chance to weigh her at bowling green. She was 3650 with me in it (I'm 280), full tank of gas and 40# of ice in the cooler.

funny you have the same issue as my brother was having. his whould cut out and not log anything at wot only. we traced it back and he was powering up the box with the original fuse box and that was the issue we ran a new wire to the battery for constant power to the ecu and he added a switch for the keyed power and it has never missed a log yet.

Good thought but the box is already powered direct from the battery without going through the fuse block. The ethanol sensor is erratic and the boost control solenoid causes an error. It is also getting worse every time it runs.

Mine was 3460 with me and a full tank at the NMCA race. I'm 185 lbs and I forgot the grab the 30# toolbox out of the trunk. Except for the glass hood, the car's all there (full exhaust, bench seat, etc).

So, me being 100# more, adding 40# ice and all steel accounts for the difference. My steel wheels are stupid heavy as well. I plan to get some weld draglites and mount the dog dish caps with adapters.
I don't want to replace any body panels because I could never match the patina.

Thanks!
But I am going to change the computer, switch fuels and add boost. Hopefully it'll rock even more.

Hey Guard Dog...

I was hoping to meet you at LSFest, but it never happened. I was the idiot waving at you when you drove in past the Holley booth. I was standing next to my Cougar. I saw your car on the trailer behind your big *** white truck...LOL

Hopefully next year!

Looking forward to updates.

Ha! I drove back to the holley booth a couple times hoping to see you. I got to check out your cougar. I assume it was on fire at one point? Anyhow, always seemed to just miss you. I hope to be back at lsfest next year with something that runs the whole weekend.
I'll post something once the Holley system is up and running.
