Unless you’re running methanol and a filled block/heads, I think you’ll run into clamping issues or some mechanical failure before you max out that turbo on a 5.3. I’d go for it. After seeing how quickly nitrous will light off a turbo that’s “too big”. I wouldn’t think twice about it. 100 shot for 400-500rpm and then shut it off. Once the turbo is “lit” it builds boost on its own.
