Default 4 bar GM style map senosr

I am running a GM 3 bar style map sensor right now with HP Tuners. I am looking to run over 30lbs this year without switching to Holley just yet (yes I know I need to switch).

Does anyone have an experience using 4bar map sensor with HP tuners?

Anyone every use one of these 4 bar GM map sensor at all, thoughts?

How far you looking to push it exactly? I would be fine going all the way up to 34-35psi on a 3bar sensor.

It doesn't you are correct. The sensor scaling would be off, but that could be fixed. For example 100kpa would actually be 125kpa or something along those lines.

If you cannot re-scale for correct units, you could just use any map sensor really, do a DIY calibration so you know yourself what boost refers to what MAP sensor reading and accept the differences

It isnt a nice way to do it but as long as you know and understand what's going on it isnt a big deal. Might confuse the **** out of someone else tuning it at a later date if you didnt tell them though lol

Whilst you can peg a lower pressure sensor, I dont like doing that. I like a sensor with headroom as you can use the higher pressure values on the tables as a crude failsafe for overboost.
With a pegged sensor you cannot do that

I've only seen one seller on egay selling a 4bar GM style though, so no idea what the quality etc is like.

Other makers do sell similar though, think Bosch do a 4 bar sensor too.
