my combo is mild ported 5.3 heads, tu0 cam, and a 4.8 rotating assembly in a l33 block. I have a ~3600 converter and 4l80e going in soon and am converting the truck to AWD at the same time.

I had it in a s10 with a single ebay gt45 and beat on it pretty hard. i wrecked that so i moved the motor to a full size and did the twin kit.

when i was looking for turbos i wanted something that spooled fast and couldnt really find anything else that seemed right. the next step up i considered was on3 t70s which i felt were too big, i am glad theres something in the middle that i could use if i need a small upgrade
I figured for $500 for the pair i couldnt lose, and worst case was i had a running t4 twin truck i could fit any other t4 to in the future
What makes you think they are holding you back now?

they arent now but eventually i want to run mid 9s in a full size awd pickup, so if they cant make enough power for that, i would like an upgrade path that maintains most of the spool up characteristics of the gt35s.
im gonna give it hell with what i have already and hope they can do it.

Went 140 at 24#

Had some trans/converter issues the last time i went to the track
Think it would have gone a little faster on kill
Thanks man!

I'm currently looking at these GT35's also. Here is my combo:

'67 Camaro 3175#
L33 5.3
Tick Stg 2 - 219/223 .617"/.595" LSA114+3
BTR duals
TH400 3.25 Rear
FTI Converter
Holley Dominator EFI
120# injectors, Dual Bosch 044's, 91+meth, non-intercooled(?)

Looking to make 700-800rw with these eBay turbos and the step up to BW SXE's later.

Would the T4/.68 that CXracing sells be the best fit for this combo? I'd like to start off non-intercooled and see where the temps are and add a cooler if needed later.

Thanks,
Mike

The 61mm units will meet that goal of 700's.

Here ya go...

https://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-in...win-gt35s.html

Here's the thing going T4 to start; If you upgrade later, turbine flange & downpipe line up. No need to change much. Providing you start & stay tangental housings.

I'd say my twin 7265s have a little bit more left in them! I went 140mph on 16-17psi in my 04 gto.

You would have been fine honestly with the on3 7065s or on3 7665s.

I have some china 7265s with .68 a/r on my 5.3 and they make positive pressure anytime you give it more then 25% throttle lmao.

My converter/trans were built around a maggie setup
It didnt start making boost till about 100 feet out...lol
I think it had more in it, just got tired of throwing money at a car to drag race it and it wouldnt do what i wanted

You pretty much had some of the best china knock off 66mm units on a 5.7 to start with didn't you? If they didn't make 1000+whp, why would you think the lesser gt35 clones would?

Step up to the china 76/78 p-trims or similar twins that we all know have made 1000+ whp. As much as I want to see what the cheapie 88 is capable of, I dont' think it will make 1000+ either.

And that was what pump gas, meth, and 11 degrees timing? I'm guessing 25+lbs and 17+ degrees on e85 will pickup a little.

I need to dyno mine one of these days. Trapped 145MPH in a 4k lb car on 13 degrees and about 21lbs with the on3 8388 on a 5.3.

You're going to have to change your name. Slow Sedan ain't going to hack it trapping 145.

25psi+ and 17+ with definitely help you pick up something! Those somethings will be the wrist pins the track crew will be picking up for you.

Haha!! Stockers have seen and survived 26lbs many times on low timing. But I think turning that wick up any further will be the end of them.

I have wiseco tool steel pins in the new engine ready for wastegate delete!

The set up may have been capable, but the motor was not up to the task. Bent 5 rods after some 25 psi pulls. 870whp @ 22-23psi on a stock cam and intake was headed int he right direction. Would be interesting to see what 27-28psi and a decent cam would have made

With a T56, baby rear end and paperweight clutch and flywheel, I have the car to make the attempt!

You're a smart guy.....come back to reality!
Send me a powerglide and traction control, and I'd be glad to produce those numbers. From what I see- 6 speed street tire 1000whp LS cars (even RX7 specifically) trap low-mid 150's at best.

If I go 160 anything, I would potentially have the fastest T-56 car int he world lol. I am years away from having a chassis that sorted, or the desire to spend the money to do so.

The fastest LS/T56 car on earth goes 158mph with a LOT more power and much more power under the curve than I will see.
