Default Edlebrock pro flow intake and turbos

I have the edlebrock proflow intake manifold and twin 67mm turbos and im just wondering what are some options for throttle bodies besides the 400$ edlebroke one.The hole in the intake is 90mm and i orderded a 90mm ebay throttle body but it is the 4 bolt and didnt line up with the intake manifold because it the Ls1 style 3 bolt so i bought an adapter the opened it up to 90mm put it on but when its bolted up its not lining up to make it a true 90mm its only 81mm what are some options for me to do!

Thanks in advance! motor is a 5.3l

If not mistaken, bigger TB doesn't much matter.
I'm running the stock 3 bolt DBC TB. With the adapter.

I think you will find guys going bottom 8's this way.

See what others have to say?

I doubt there'll be any issue at all with an 81mm opening.

I would say run it to but I'm concerned about the air being a bit turbulent because of the restriction

If boostedbuick sends me a picture I'll post it up

If indeed it is a restriction. I'm sure it will cope with up to around 1500hp without any worries at all....and probably still happy above that

I wouldn't worry about the diameter as long as the transition is smooth. Any pictures?

I was curious what the adapters look like bolted up.

That's it with it bottled up and then you'll see the inside of the adapter with the intake blockage.

Using an $85 92mm throttle body on my dads Pro Flo and we just redrilled/oblonged the throttle body holes so it bolts up. I think we only had to wallow out 2 of the holes. The washers cover it all up so I can't tell by looking at it unless I take the throttle body off.

That makes it clear. Would bug me too.
Enough material there to port it?
Just seems like the adapter is not centered at all.

I guess a solution would be to remove the bolts and have that adapter tig welded to the manifold.

Or just mark the manifold where your TB would like to bolt up and re-drill.

Do you have a TB yet?

I have the same 7139 but am using the small DBC GM tb. The adapter simply is there to match up the IAC port. It's just a gasketed plate.

Yeah that's an idea forsure. I was trying to not drill or do anything in the such I spent the 400$ on the intake wanted it to bolt up but I may have to go this route now. Did u threw bolt it? With but and bolt or just re tap the holes after you drilled?

I drilled the holes on the throttle body not the intake manifold. The holes on the throttle body were about "half a bolt" off. Just line it up and drill the throttle body holes wider so the bolts line up. Bolts are threaded into the manifold, no nut.

Why not grind the top of the intake so it's a smooth transition? I'm running a 78mm TB well into the 8's and doubt you'd need teh extra diameter. But having that shelf on the top would annoy me.

I did the same thing, used a PTM 92mm and wallered out the two bottom holes on the TB and bolted right up. No other mods necessary.

Yeah, that's what I did. I just put washers behind the bolts to cover the old holes.

I did same as these guys as well.

I bought an EBAY 92mm, and redrilled the 2 bottom holes to line up, been running it that way for 2 yrs. Stupid as Edelbrock try to make their intake a proprietary pattern is BS. I wasn't gonna spend $400 either
