Yeah, it's no different than upgrading from a P1 to a D1, it doesn't make sense.

The nice thing is prochargers hold their value. So a used D1 will go fro 1500-1800 usually, and an F1a is typically in the 2000-2300 range. New, I think the F1-a-94 is what? 3200'ish??? So like Bob said, sell the a, and buy a a-94.

Last weekend an F1A 94 has just gone 4.79 in Ultra/Ultimate Street.
Quicker then any F1C 94 has gone to date in that class.
4.79 is also the current class ET record.

F1A 94 is a bad hombre !!!

So it's not quite as extreme as the F1-X, but it also doesn't have the 'issues' that the 'X' has had as well since it's on the same gear and case as the F1A.

It pulls really hard bro. I have the bigger crank pulley and 3.70 pulley and it pulls pretty damn hard..

Oh my, i was really looking at bottle fed and turbo build, yet the more i look Procharger I'm impressed cause i want to have AC, PS and all with the 2014 LS3 Cam Motion, cammed motor in my 72 Monte, having Jake build the 4l80 now and looking for a power adder, maybe sooner than planned.... this system could be what i need to have fun now and grow into when built bottom end.. going to be a driver and a fun track toy! Ford 9in Fab9 rear end and Wildwood brakes, have some odds and ends to complete yet should be fun..... moving the AC up on the passenger side, need to know what brackets i'll need for the Blower and fit-up.... using Holley's Dominator for management, planned to use it for Nitrous, yet the more i see Procharger's the more i'm leaning this way.... how is heat soak in 100 degree weather? Is A2W a viable option, i'll only run 10-12psi until built bottom end is ready.... i'll push the stock engine for a while.... thanks for any guidance feedback...

You don't have much heat soak with a ProCharger, since the blower is only attached to the engine by the bracket assembly. The bypass valve diverts the air from entering the intercooler until you get deep into the throttle. The inlet air temps with ProCharger's air to air intercooler systems are low enough that you don't need to consider the added cost and complexity of an air to water set-up.
Methanol injection would help to keep that stock bottom end alive at 10 to 12 psi. I recommend Alky Control as their kits include quality components, and run 100% methanol. Bob

Aster bracket. FSeries. Move the radiator forward to be able to run a nice 4" intake. Sub 400ci motor. Good fuel... that's the combo.

I wish I would of moved my radiator. The next chance I get I plan to make room for a much larger intake on the blower.

I made 940 on only 13 psi with F1X but I went turbo. 12 rib. I actually have 12 rib pulleys and dampner.

Thanks for the info. Any other pictures and details of the radiator and intake hat setup?

I am hoping to get close to 900 with my D1SC and my new upgrades. I might have to change pulleys out but I think I'll make it close.

I made 630/605 with a 383 LS1 forged bottom (9.8:1), D1 blower 10# boost, stock heads and rockers with trunion upgrade, LS6 intake, stock tb, 1 5/8 long tubes and cutouts, texas speeds "off the shelf" blower cam. And that was through a 4L60E auto and a moser 9". I loved the way it felt just need more for the track. Pulls hard right off the throttle and just keeps pulling.

I upgraded to MMS 220 heads, 10.0:1 compression, johnson short travel lifters, slightly more aggressive cam, FAST 102 (might try super victor), NW 102 TB, 1 7/8 kooks true duals, TH400 trans and lighter rear end. Should make for some good power. Just not sure how far to push the stock aluminum block. Might do an F1A blower from Bob too if I don't make my goal.

Here's the dyno graph:
The green line my alternator was bad. The red was through the mufflers and the blue was with open cutouts. I was happy to get over 600 torque for the setup. Can't wait for new results.

Mr2Liter your setups are pretty awesome. Always well done and big numbers.

Sounds cool, post up the new gains when you get them. I'm gonna say that small header could hold you back a bit.

I would love to do a project with the goals of doing a d1sc/ls deal that made 900 through an auto w/lock up. The first phone call I would make would be to Morris probably.
