Thank you.... still shaking down a few things. Got a leak on my turbo oil feed so I ordered the materials to make my own line rather than the ebay china stuff. Should nip that in the bud. I am hoping to go to a fathers day car show this Sunday weather permitting.

goodies showed up last week and I got them done this weekend. The straub trunnion upgrade is quality stuff
I used a kent moore valve stem installer found off ebay used, powerhouse trunnion jig for the vice, and tims valvespring tool
[/url]
the powerhouse tool has a nice magnet on it and it was easy to align for pressing the bearings out

kent moore tool was 20 bucks and made this easy

back together and out cruising

Got the snow methanol stage 1 kit ... ordered it off ebay for 280 bucks...
![](https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4311/35758583462_e94c00333d_k.jpg)
It has a boost activated adjustable switch that starts injecting methanol at a set psi... they recommend 50% max boost to start it up ... All in I am happy with the kit for the cost
Welded up a custom mount to the frame for the pump and mounted the tank/switch
![](https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4312/35542494080_2aaff3863d_k.jpg)
switch wired in and everything nicely loomed and hidden decently.. left the switch out so I can use the allen key to adjust
![](https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4295/35153585033_da236237c7_k.jpg)
Finished product... led's mounted in my ashtray where I welded a plate on for another switch. Looks like I need to order some boost juice lol... once I get more experience with it, I will mix my own with 2 bottles of yellow heet and the blue wal mart washer fluid

Looks good I also have a snow stage 1 kit but my switch was only vacuum rated and it wasn't able to do boost. Maybe they changed the switch up but it looks the same.
I ditched the snow switch and used a Hobbs 2psi switch and it worked good. Then I stepped it up to the AEM progressive controller for like $160 and have it starting at right before 0 psi and full in by like 5psi. You can allways add it to your kit and it works really nice. I went with the voltage version vs the one with the built in MAP sensor.
Side note, snow rates there nozzles at like 60psi flow... in case u don't know the pump is like 220-250psi so the flow rates are way higher than snow says. Basically a 300ml nozzle really flows like 600-750ml.
Don't bother with wiper fluid and heat... ends up costing more than boost juice or mixing real 100% meth and distilled water. Get the 4 gallons from summit for like $35 and it will last you at least a summer.

its the 300 rated pump... Wish I had known they rated them low because I got a #6 nozzle in the mail today for 29 bucks... The kit came with #3 and #5 so I probably wouldhave been ok with the 5 oops...

Gotcha. The 300psi is actually worse than the 220-250psi pump FWIW.
You should have just got the AEM nozzle kit... comes with a billet injector holder with internal check valve and 3 nozzles plus some other goodies and its like $60-70.
I have an AEM meth flow gauge and that's how I found out how much they actually flow. But if I remember correctly the #5 nozzle or 375ml nozzle really flows like 750ml. If your running a intercooler you don't need more than the 375ml nozzle but if your not and just relying on the meth then you will prob need the 500ml or larger. Snow annoying bc it goes by ml and not Gallons like Devils own and the other main companies.

Heh it is just temporary until I get around to routing the downpipe down and back. I have a bunch of 3 inch columbia river mandrel bends and pipe from back when they offered the $25.00 "B stock" sale for 25lbs of pipe.
With no radio I have grown to enjoy the sound and it does startle folks at stoplights. Also my cowl hood isn't painted yet.
customblackbird - I didn't know that about the Snow kit... but to be honest I think the kit will meet my needs because I am not planning on running a ton of boost on this engine (13-14lbs).... So you would recommend the #5 nozzle for around 650whp ? I guess the #6 would be too much spray and possibly bog it down?
In the future I hope to build a 6.0 with all the knowledge I have learned and am learning on this one. Really at that point I will start needing a cage and some other big upgrades ugh...

going to be 2 bar... plan is to max that out around 13-14 psi
I want to learn tuning at some point... I am using a local guy with a dyno at his house and good reputation in the ls world.

Love the build I'm going in a similar direction on my 75 Dart Swinger(yes, an a-body mopar). Already have my under 100k mile 4.8 truck motor, forward facing manifolds and 78/75 On3 Performance turbo. Cant wait to see the results.

What did it make on the 7psi pull? Im going to be running a very similar setup to yours except a posi 8.8 in the back with 3.73's in my 75 Dart. Never run meth before so ill have to wrap my head around that first before I can commit to it. Great work either way.

Doing some troubleshooting on an issue and then I will be turning the boost up even more, lol
