Cheap 10 micron ethanol compatible fuel filters.
I've been running these filters for 5-6 years on my E85 setups. Pick them up at the Farm Supply stores here locally for about $12. They filter better than most expensive SS elements, flow a ton, and hold up great. I usually change them every year, but I was lazy and left this one in for 2 years. Split it yesterday. Looked great. The element felt a little dry and brittle maybe, but no more than they always do when I split them yearly.
Best filter out there for E85 IMO. They also had a new micro glass filter that claimed 2 micron filter capability.
I believe the filter housing is zinc? Not 100% on that but it seems to be holding up fine as well. I believe what looks like little corrosion marks are casting flaws. They never seem to get worse. And I don't see the white crusty corrosion common with ethanol.

They sell the filter housing with the filter. Like so... The CIMTEK is newish. They use to sell goldenrod like below.

I run at 75psi plus on pressure. We even tried to blow one of these filters up with 120psi of shop air and it didn't even phase it. I've always run that much pressure on several cars now.

I've been fighting spin-on filter selection for a little while now, so I'm going to bring this back up.
I bought 2 Goldenrod filters for almost nothing but they didn't come with the mounting head, which is now $35 at Tractor Supply down the street.
I found these filters from GROZ. I'm going to buy them just for the filter head because they are so cheap.

$16 shipped for filter/head.
The description says that it comes with the head. There are 55 sold with 100% positive feedback so it would seem as if the description isn't misleading. The filter is 10 micron nominal with 20 gpm flow, but unfortunately a 1 1/2" - 16 filter thread instead of the more common 1" - 12.
Also, what are you guys using for the 1" NPT threads on the filter heads?
I'm debating whether or not to run 2 filters, pre and post pump, or just one filter pre-pump.

20$ shipped on amazon... for the 1" NPT 570-1 PN. Use a 1" NPT to AN8/AN10 etc from e-bay.
The big 4303 and other rock crusher style pumps I'm not worried about a pre-filter. The smaller pumps I'd want a sock or something to filter the larger particles out. I haven't run a pre-filter on my 4303 for years. Aside from this bad boy... lol. I bought it to install under the fill lid of the fuel cell, but it was too small. It's a pre-filter for motorcycle gas tanks. Makes me laugh every time I use it! easier/cheaper than a filtered funnel.

I believe my actual head was 3/4. Grab a SS 1” to ¾ pipe fitting.
Or the $32 ¾ head w extra filter.
