Default Turbo drain hose length ??

How long is too long for the drain hose?? Long story short i tapped the drivers side of the pan for my return and ended up switching the location of the turbo to the passenger side. I know somebodys gonna say to retap the pan or timing cover, but i really dont feel like doing it again. As long as it slopes down properly, do you guys see a problem??? Im using a -10 drain.... Thx guys

Shorter, straighter, the better.

honestly it would depend on the amount of drop from the turbo to the drain. Can you post a pic of the setup?

Looping around from the passenger side to the driver side will essentially cause a trap in the oil drain line, like you have under your sink. Oil will tend to pool there and have higher likelihood of backing up. Shorter, steeper and straighter is better. I really like the front cover if you have straight shot.

Larger lines make up for crumby runs. I run a -12 drain line. No smoke at all.

You should have no problems running a line to the side of your pan with that drop.

How thick is your hotside?

Hotside is 2" regular pipe from the parts store, I measured today and the drain hose will be about 4 ft long, same as my feed line, they'd run parallel to each other....

I was just wondering about hotside cause if its too thin it will burn through and could also rust out if not coated. Those pipes from the parts store are normally uncoated and wont last very long
