Dyno day! Shitty e85 that was actually e70 held us back today. She still made good safe power that im happy with. At 9.5# she made 586hp/598tq carried 11.3 afr across the board. I wound up turning it down to 8# where it made 561/573. Thats where we will ride, and i can put another 1/4 turn in the hallman in case of emergency, lol.
Im really impressed with the power this setup makes for what it is. I couldnt believe that the engine gave us absolutely no issues as far as fuel, boost, knock, or timing was concerned. We basically strapped her down and started turning the boost controller right! Fun morning!

Im going to build a forged 5.3 or 6.0 over this coming winter. I just couldnt see the reasoning in camming a short term engine that i only plan on making 600hp out of. Stock cam stuff is capable of doing that. The fun will be seeing how far i can push the stock ls1 once the new shorty is built!
I understand 100%. I started with just a stock 5.3 with a cam to make sure everything was working, now swapping to the 6.0 that is fresh, then after that is broke in, I'll be adding my boost.

Good numbers, really similar to mine. I've just got the on3 78/75. Would love to see what mine would do if I wasn't on pump at 12 psi. Made 576 on that p*ss. Maybe crack 600 on CAM2

Ive already added some boost and fuel, lol. I was able to verify my wideband on their dyno sp im not worried about street tuning PE now. So its twist, log, and tune now. We never changed my 5# street tune on the dyno, it was spot on safe to 10#
Man that torque curve is fat! Over 500 ft.lbs. from just under 4K up to 5,500 peaking at 580! That's that small turbine putting in work, I'd rather have that fat *** torque in a street car then a hero hp number up high. God I wish we had E85 more readily available where I live. Nice numbers bud!

Thats the 8# pull, i didnt print the hero pull where it almost went 600/600. I originally had planned to run the car at 8#. I purt two more pounds and another degree in it since then. Id bet good money its a good bit over 600 torque now.
Your in that "grenade with the pin half pulled" territory now lol. I was shooting for 600/600 but I had enough guys warn me at that level your on borrowed time and I need mine to live a little bit longer. Just until I find a 5.3 short block for the right price.

Ya, i figure it is what it is. Its just a project for me to play with, i dont need the car for transportation or anything like that. Id like it to get through the summer so i can get a 5.3 or 6.0 going this winter then upgrade turbos and really put the screws to it. Id like to put 850 to the tire and beat around on the street with it, dyno days, and stuff like that. The race track was my job for over a decade, then i had a bliwn top dragster for a few years afterwards. I just dont care to race at a facility much anymore. Im sure ill hit a few street nights at the track and get tossed, lol.
