Id like to put 850 to the tire and beat around on the street with it, dyno days, and stuff like that. The race track was my job for over a decade, then i had a bliwn top dragster for a few years afterwards. I just dont care to race at a facility much anymore. Im sure ill hit a few street nights at the track and get tossed, lol.
That's where I'm at as well, I was an avid drag racer for years and I just kinda lost the taste for it, it was a lot of work and maintenance and I had kids lol. I'd like to put together a 5.3 and pair that with some form of a 78/75 turbo and go for 750+ at the wheels but gotta bring in more cash for that first lol. In the meantime I will live vicariously through you!

Default Update!!!

So theres been a few changes to the car over the last few weeks. We went back to dyno on three more pounds and only got to 628/638. This was telling me that we were basically out of turbine, i couldnt imagine what the BP was, never measured it, but from the sounds coming out of the gate there was plenty of pressure there. To keep from having to upgrade, then upgrade again i actually found a mustang guy looking to downsize turbochargers. I wound up swapping my 78/68 for a billet wheel s480/t4 1.25 piece with an 87mm turbine. SCORE!
While the car was down i also went ahead and replaced the cam and valvesprings. Cam wound up 23x/23x 600/600 114+3 and i used a set of pac 660s to keep everything stable along with ti retainers and moly pushrods.
Im not sure what shes making now but i can tell its quite a bit more and there is no choking off at 5600 like before, she likes to sing now! Ill update more once we get back on a set of rollers.

I already run a griffin. I got this housing to fit leaving the stock fans as pullers still. If i went to derales up front id have room for a t6/race cover piece.

My long term goals for this car in whatever form it winds up in, however long it takes is a seven second et slip. Ive been 6s in a dragster, i want to go 7s in a car. 8s in street trim would be pretty cool along the way as well. Lots of power and a big diet is in this girls future.

Both were 555 bbc, car was alot of fun. Ultimatly it was too much of a hassel once we moved to colorado away from family. A blown alky 555 in a long car is just too much for a one an crew with his wife and 8 yr old, lol. So now i have this street car project.

Sweeeet! I'll take those pics, but I really wanted to see how you shoe horned that borg into that tiny 4th gen engine bay and kept the stock fans and radiator. I'm curious because I just put a T7875 in mine and had to move some stuff around. I hope I didn't give the vibe you weren't being honest.

Offset the fans a touch to have the turbo discharge and charge pipe basically split the fan motors. If i do anything ill cut my charge pipe and put a coupler in it to adjust the inlet angle a bit. Its fine as it sits now, just a bit tough getting the housing and piping lined up but it goes.

Ah so you did stand up the radiator. Ditch that stupid PS cooler before it fails and pumps oil into your cooling system and destroys all your hoses...ask me how I know lol. Did you have to modify the down pipe at all when going from the 7868 to the S480?
