Should be ready for a start up this weekend. Then do fuel pumps and finish up drive shaft and everything else. Driving eta 3 weeks.

its just temp mounted in there. the bracket that the kit came with suck.. thin aluminum. won't hold anything. this does fit in front of the crash bar but not the foam. the kit doesn't come with instructions if you're wondering.

gonna make some metal mounts for it maybe and get the cold side piped up so i can route the down pipe. still waiting on wires before i can start her up.

on3 alt relocation kit came in. gotta mount that still.
drill and tap manifold for iat
fuel system
find pusher fans for rad. decided not to stand up. Cheap recommendations? (besides deral)
then i think drive it? I'm sure I'm forgetting things.

lot to ask but when you get done with all this it would be stellar and you would be a god if you come up with a complete list of parts and what it cost you to put this together. I know several people that have to do this on limited time and money that would appreciate that...

thanks for that!

I'm assuming there's just no way to keep the AC with this setup? it looks like the crossover pipe would interfere...?

nope no ac on this set up. thats what t tops are for lol..

so i got to work on it for a few hours today.

got front mount brackets welded in. ill take pics of them next time i have the bumper off.

ran in to my first snag that will take me a couple hours to create. the down pipe.

the down pipe for the kit is designed to go in between the frame rail and the motor mount. i did get it in there but didn't like how it sat so i said **** it. bumper it is. its gonna take a little fab work and it'll take me a little longer as this is the first one I've done. Sure it doesn't seem difficult but i just have some limited supplies in the garage currently as far as piping goes and the cold side is a lot in the way lol. heres a pic of where i got to before i had to go pick up my daughter. next day ill get to work on it is sunday. spark plug wires came in so i might find time to put those on. well see.

well put the baby down for bed and ran out to the garage because it was bothering me that i didn't have the down pipe done. trying to accomplish something everyday. so here you guys go. don't beat me up to bad. first one I've done. also tried to start running some plug wire but got sick of it fast and decided it was time to go to bed.

little update. I got the car to start. had a solid 60psi of oil pressure at 2400 rpm. Couldn't get it to idle down for some reason but didn't try very hard. and didn't really modify the tune beside for injectors. spent a few hours reading and then eventually copied one of denmahs tunes for something very close to my build. didn't get a video as my wife wasn't around. she wants to be there when i first start it..... SHHHHHH..... so that may come tomorrowish. after that I'm gonna bolt the turbo on and mount up the scavenge pump and see if we can make her work. then gotta do things like drill mod for clutch. change a pinion seal. put drive shaft in and still do the fuel pump set up. talking to straight line performance in joliet Illinois to do the tune probably around end of april.

Here it is guys!! Start up vid. sounds nasty lol. idling about 1000 rpm. get down to 800 and should sound pretty good. also the eBay scavenge pump was doing work. Should i maybe drop to a 3/8ths line to help keep the pressure study after the pump obviously?

Heres some new pics. on3 sent the wrong bracket had to wait on that for a bit. got the new one in and let me tell you i was pissed. they don't include the nut for the bolt. they don't include the 4th spacer for the alternator. had to make it. for 115 its a robbery. order from some one else. thats bull **** if you ask me. anyways heres some pics. gotta make a vacuum block change a pinion seal and wire up my 02 sensor this week then do small things like bleed brakes and the clutch. hopefully be on the road soon. have class 2 nights this week so that sucks.

Just a heads up you also have to cut the back of the alternator up. the plastic piece that is so it'll clear your valve cover.

sorry for the slow work just been busy with other stuff too.

if any one has a free truck oil pan and other accessories for truck let me know if you want to get rid of them cheap. need them for the jeep.

Going to strictly performance up in portage michigan. so it'll be tuned and ready to hit the streets by the end of the month. Got the sti and went down to street car take over in indy and got some races in. got my blood pumping for the trans am to be done. So more updates soon!!!

Can't entirely answer the trans question, I'm more knowledgable on autos...

But I am enjoying the build & want to know more on the Max.

My first bike was an 88 Vmax. Just a pipe & jet kit, but it was fun. Loved the driveshaft rear.

actually i just traded off the max. after i fixed the clutch an issue reared its ugly head. 2nd gear would pop out on hard throttle. i didn't buy a bike that needed to be worked on. traded it for a 85 z28 thats rust free for my wife.

to keep the post related i got my dual fuel pumps put in but i don't really like how i did it so picked up some different fittings today to change it. also picked up the rest of the vacuum line that i need to button the waste gate and what not up. wire in gauges and then off to the tuners i believe.
