Default Sts.....

I was thinking how hard is it to built your own turbo kit like the one from STS, it does not even have to be a single turbo it could be a twin turbo, i am preatty sure you can get ideas from their instructions and have a muffler shop build the piping for you, it might even be cheaper and with better turbos,

sorry just thinking, my 2cents.

Good idea but I'm 1 step ahead of you, already have the parts just waiting for the engine to be finished being built. I will tell you with a bigger turbo and more expensive parts it still cost me much less than their kit

Well I'm doing a similar buildup, here's a breakdown of the parts I have bought, I'm sure I'll leave some stuff out that I have forgotten about....

Master Power T70 w/.96 A/R
Tial 40mm Wastegate w/flange
Tial 50mm BOV
Turbonetics Boost Controller
-----$1200(group purchase on the turbo)

Mocal Electric Oil pump
External Oil Filter Relocation
-----$191

3in V-Band Flange
4in Coupler
2.5in Coupler x 3
3.5in Coupler
V-Band clamp
-----$85

3Gauge A-Pillar Mount
Cyberdyne Oil Press Gauge
Cyberdyne A/F Ratio Gauge
Cyberdyne Boost Gauge
-----$265

Tubing- Done here at a local exhaust shop that I have connections with.
-----Expecting $150 or so

Methanol Inection Kit
-----$299

Misc lines fittings parts..
-----$100

Total-$2290 (remember the STS kit does not come with the gauges or the meth kit that stuff cost extra)

I'm sure I'm forgetting something, this does not include the fuel system in which you will need to upgrade as well along with other mods to support higher boost.
