Default To close to exhaust
Ok is this ecm to close to the exhaust.. Kinda get a idea of the down pipe straight out ..

If you put a blanket on the turbo, I'd say it should be fine.

A simple bent piece of flat stock would make a nice heat shield between the downpipe and the ecm as well.

I'd be more worried about those heater hoses. Where are you going with the downpipe?

The downPipe is going parallel with the head down in-between the back of the head and firewall.. The pic doesnt really show well but there is a pretty big hole . Ignore that relay harness it's not sopose to be there.. So a heat shield between the two should be fine ?

Besides covering hot pipes, I use insulation on my heater hoses, and fuel lines anywhere they are close to a heat source
I also used insulation on my downpipe, and on the area of the floor where the downpipe was close
