If you do not use boost reference on the regulator, you will always have the same set fuel pressure , don't change with boost.
Is that what you meant?

I have a 2005 returnless truck intake. If I want to put the fpr after the rails I need to figure out where to tap the stock rail for a fitting. Any ideas? If I gut the schrader valve I would have a an 4 fitting out in the middle of the last rail. The reg would be after the rails but would the -4 fitting going in to the regulator be too much of a restriction? I would still have the option to run any size line out of the fpr for the return

A deadhead system will work fine, I used it on an LS3 intake, ran the feed, return to the reg, then a line to the fuel rail-FP maintained at 43, rose with boost
