When you're 15:1 lean and running 30 PSI with 10:1 compression showing almost ZERO knock, something saved your ***. It wasn't the junk pump gas I was running, either.
I am limited to 91 octane, my engine is 5.3 with gt45 , china head studs and 317 heads ( yes it's dog out of boost ) I've been running this setup for over a year with zero issues
I did start with 7 psi and now 13 psi and 14* ,I am thinking of increasing the boost to 18 psi maybe but I am worried. what do you think ?

You're compression is so low that even at 18 PSI with 14 degrees and water/meth, 91 octane should be fine.

Posts like this are what me decide to build a turbo car. Can't wait to leave stripes down the highway

I swapped to an 02 truck pcm on my 98 Camaro. Use efilive with a custo operating system and tune it myself. I'm not much of a tuner but have a friend who gets me a nice base tune and then is very simple doing small afr/timing adjustments. And I'm also running a stock 80e and the PCM controls the shifts making it very street friendly. I drive 16 miles a day to work. Engine is a stock longblock lq9 minus JFR 221 cam and pac springs with an on3 78/75 turbo. Makes 690 on e85 and 570ish on pump gas.
