I did cut parts of mine to alter shape and re-weld it. Mine certainly is not 3mm thick. I didnt measure, but maybe a little over 2mm.

I have a sheet of 3mm thick aluminium I use for other stuff and it is a lot thicker than the intake,

Which ls3 Intake are you all using? The shorter one or do both work?
1 is listed for $ 597 and 1 for $545

I just installed a low ls3 sniper. I had low expectations given its country of origin but it. Surprised me. Overall quality was adequate. Port alignment was actually pretty good. Adapting the installation was reasonable considering. At this point I don’t regret the purchase

did you replace the fast mid length runner?
I purchased a Holley sniper low profile intake also for my build. Quality looks good.

Why the change? 139 mph it seems to be working just fine.
