not to discourage you but I think mine was the original thin one and it fit the ports great. Jus too thin. The newer ones are 3mm thick and should last. My next intake will be the proflo or another high intake. Might even take a chance an order another sheetmetal one.
I have a sheet of 3mm thick aluminium I use for other stuff and it is a lot thicker than the intake,

I just installed a low ls3 sniper. I had low expectations given its country of origin but it. Surprised me. Overall quality was adequate. Port alignment was actually pretty good. Adapting the installation was reasonable considering. At this point I don’t regret the purchase

I purchased a Holley sniper low profile intake also for my build. Quality looks good.
