Tial Q 50mm BOV help! Tial Q 50mm BOV on my supercharged trans am running around 18psi. Have a huge boost leak at 10psi and all boost is gone so i did a leak test and the BOV is leaking terribly and not even holding down 10psi on the air test. The BOV is less than a year old and I took it all apart and the diaphram wasn't ripped, it had the correct Green spring and seals are all in great shape. Acting like the spring can't even hold down 10psi of air and the BOV starts to open up. I can't get hold of Tial customer service at all and they don't have a phone number to call really need your guys help!
Make sure you have pressure going into the line on top of the spring, that's what keeps it closed. It's the force of the spring, plus the pressure of the boost on top of it, that keeps it shut.
Check the line going from the manifold to the top of the valve and make sure there are no leaks or cracks in it. It sounds like you have some kind of leak in the line, and when you hit enough boost, it is popping open the valve.
