Default Holley dominator boost control options

What's the simplest way for me to control boost in my twin turbo setup? I have 2 Mac solenoids and 2 pressure transducers. What side of the gates would I put the transducers on?

Simplest way is to run 1 solenoid in the "open-loop, duty cycle" method. Connect the valve as you would a manual controller to the bottom of the gates via a "T". No dome sensor needed. Just up the duty cycle until you get the target boost. Real easy. You can also connect to the top of the gates and add pressure if you like as an alternate method.

How does the pcm know what boost pressure is without the transducer?

There is an extremely detailed write up in the help files provided by Holley. You only need one tranducer (Dome pressure) in one wastegate.

The help files walk you through the procedure and options better than anyone here will be able to explain it.

In the "open-loop/DC" method the engine will boost whatever the DC will allow. There is no closed-loop correction or adjustment. You have complete control and can overboost if you don't start low and work your way up.

The other methods " dome pressure" and "dome and map pressure" said to be faster and more accurate and have some ecu correction. But it requires testing and more testing. Although, "dome pressure" method is pretty easy, just have to play with the PID settings.

2 solenoids and the pressure sensor will give the ultimate control but requires some work in terms of trial and error.

You asked for the simplest way and "open loop/dc" is it. It works just fine for what I do (play car, some track time). When I want more boost I just increase the DC. I have a range of 7psi-17psi, and there's more boost in it but I'm on pump fuel and stopped there.

Are you running co2? Don't forget to set some safeties up.

I'm not running co2, my gate springs are 14psi and I've hit 27 at 70% duty with my E boost 2. So that shouldn't really change right?

If I use one transducer in one wastegate should I still use 2 solenoids or 1 and split between both gates like I it up now?

Not sure, its different with all setups. But for me, using a 7 psi spring I get 15psi at about 55% DC. 16psi = 65%

I use one solenoid t'd to the bottom of the two gates. If you use 2 solenoids you still need to t them to both gates. Using 2 solenoids, 1 is a "fill" and one is an "exhaust". You would also use 1 dome sensor t'd into the top of both gates.

Many ways to do this. I'd like to use closed-loop boost control at some point, but the current setup works too good to mess with it further.

The directions are pretty good. I needed to read them 10x before I started to u/s lol!!!!
