The harness is a standalone harness built by shannon Taylor. He builds alot of harnesses so id say the harness isnt the issue.

Couple things, first get it to a real operating temp, or make sure your CLT is calibrated right.

And as far as the surging, its either going to be a ignition setting thats wrong, your timing isnt synced or its walking, or you have a rather large vacuum leak.

Does the motor sound like its all there? The map singal looks rather noisy like a misfire or something?

does it ever run smooth?
What do you consider normal operating temp? The car runs around 185 degrees cruising.

How do you calibrate the clt?

It doesnt seem to be misfiring. It seems like its sputtering. I dont know how to explain that, but i know what a misfire feels like and it doesnt feel like that. This feels like a tune issue to me. Maybe the engine ground causing a problem??

It never really runs flawlessly. Vaccum wise i can spray it down with water or brake clean and check for vaccum leaks again.

the VE values and timing values are reasonable in your tune, but what i dont know is your ignition setting to be correct.

But if its denhams tune then it probably is. Maybe download a different on of his and compare

the only differences i can see is that your dwell is 4.5ms (which is way too high.), his is 2.5 and his 1st tooth angle is set to 1 and your is set to 7

How did you determine yours needs to be 7 exactly?

I have the truck/ls2 coils which arrording to msxtra needed to be set to 4.5 vs the 2.5ms dwell. I may be wrong, but thats what they said on there site. I can post a link later after work. When it was set to 2.5ms dwell, it had the same issues.

I got 7 degrees by using a timing light, a piston stop tool, a timing pointer, and a marker. The points didnt line up until i set it to 7 degrees.
