microsquirt lsx sputter/ misfire
Couple things, first get it to a real operating temp, or make sure your CLT is calibrated right.
And as far as the surging, its either going to be a ignition setting thats wrong, your timing isnt synced or its walking, or you have a rather large vacuum leak.
Does the motor sound like its all there? The map singal looks rather noisy like a misfire or something?
does it ever run smooth?
How do you calibrate the clt?
It doesnt seem to be misfiring. It seems like its sputtering. I dont know how to explain that, but i know what a misfire feels like and it doesnt feel like that. This feels like a tune issue to me. Maybe the engine ground causing a problem??
It never really runs flawlessly. Vaccum wise i can spray it down with water or brake clean and check for vaccum leaks again.

But if its denhams tune then it probably is. Maybe download a different on of his and compare
How did you determine yours needs to be 7 exactly?
I got 7 degrees by using a timing light, a piston stop tool, a timing pointer, and a marker. The points didnt line up until i set it to 7 degrees.

Have you tried using a value of 1?
