Ok, is there a way to post the .msq or do I try and get a screen shot of the datalog and fuel and spark tables?

Good catch sbcgenII. The afr is 9.9 while the commanded afr is 11.1 at 187 kpa. How bad is that, any way to guess what kind of HP is being lost?

At 9.9 afr your lucky it runs at all. Anything i have ever tuned starts to break up around 10.2 or so. Must spew out black smoke like a tire fire. Unless the meter is off.

Most widebands won't read anything below 10 AFR, so it could be even richer than that. You can break parts running it that fat.

Your also commanding too rich at 11:0:1. Lean that out to 11.5:1 and I wouldnt run much richer than that. I personally like to be around 11.5:1 & 11.75:1 under boost but if it gets closer to 12:1 you should be ok. I get break up at 10:1 and acts like a rev limiter. But all that gas could pop a ring land or wash down the cylinder walls. Your sweet spot is 11.5:1 and 12:1. I tend to feel like the motor feels stronger around 12:1.

Your timing is ok but you could run alittle more. If your using a decent FMIC and 93 pump gas you could spray some wiper fluid or 50/50 before the TB and bump the timing up. What are your IAT temps like?

That VE table is all over the place. I dont use MS, but if that was my HP Tuners VE table I would have to work to do.

You have something wrong such as wideband reading. This has less fuel at boost than under vaccuum

that ve table needs some smoothing in the 175/220/250 scales to be good. there is no reason for the fuel to be going from 94.3 to 91.4 and back to 93.9. in your 175 kpa line. you can bring the 220 line down a couple numbers and smooth them a little in the 220 line where the rpm is 5033 make that about a 95.0 and go up from there going up in rpm like 1 number higher per square. then your 250 kpa can be done the same lower it a couple numbers then smooth it and do some logging. don't make huge changes just slowly work the numbers down until you get a mid 11 range and it will make a lot more power.

if that is a rising 1 to 1 rate fuel regulator the table looks good. but it looks rich about everywhere out of boost.

needs lots of smoothing while driving.

Hey everybody I really appreciate the feedback here. I am very relieved to know my low HP numbers are mostly due to the tune and probably not the cam and valve train. I am going to work on getting my wastegate issues solved and try and improve the tune as suggested.
I bench tested the gate today and it was doing what it is supposed to do. At this point I could look to get a second WG or just cap this one off and relocate it. I am not sure which way to go. I really like that this one goes back in to the down pipe. There is maybe enough room just before the turbo flange but it would probably have to dump to the atmosphere and would be hard to get to.

Its 90* to the flow how you have it. If the gate was vertical instead of horizontal it would work better. That way the exhaust can go straight instead of trying to turn at warp speed.
I pulled the turbo off last night and noticed the hole I had drilled in the turbo housing was not as large as the wastegate flange itself. I got the die grinder out and went to work opening it up to the same size with a nice taper. The housing material was pretty soft and it didn't take long. Sorry I didn't get any before pics but I probably opened it up a 1/4 inch all the way around. The position on the housing could be better but it is definitely not at a 90 degree angle. I am going to put it back on and test it with a 5 1/2 lb spring. If it still creeps I guess I will just have to add another wastegate.

Here is a pic looking straight into the housing and I can clearly see the flange opening.

And one from the other side. It sure seems like this would work?
