Hpfiend - Thank you. the typhoon and trailblazer ss are very different - to LS swap a typhoon is a lot of work, esp with a turbo setup due to space.
Hellbents10 thanks!
Hank - transfer case is stock with an adapter shaft for 4l80. If I could do it again this truck would have a glide or turbo glide.....but right now just enjoying it when I feel like driving it.

5.8'S on a track that is uphill from the concrete launch pad on and notoriously slippery on high HP/small tire combos. Very impressive. I was there. Your truck looks well built and hauls ***. Great combination!
Did I overhear you say something about an engine noise? Tapping I believe? How'd you make out with that?

Any award for the lowest power? haha! Maybe I'll drive the Zephyr over. Is it inside the dealership or a portable unit? I don't remember there being one inside, but it's quite a while since I've been there.
When these trucks were new, I was the "designated/trained" tech that got to work on them. I think we sold 3 or 4 in the 2 year run. They were a blast to drive after driving the sit and spin Grand Nationals.

I'm not one to really give advise on tuning, but that 21 lbs at 17* can be boarder line even on C16 fuel. Just remember they can take a lot more timing on the dyno than they can under real driving (full load). I'd probably back it down a bit and take a look at a fresh set of plugs after a WOT pull on the street to make sure it's all good before turning it up.
Beware of morons on this site (especially 01ssreda4) that will tell you that taking a look at your plugs is a waist of time. With a combo like you have, it is damn near mandatory to keep it alive if you are gonna push it.
Just don't want to see you kill it man. You did a great job on the build. Can't wait to see some track times.

Went a best 1/8 of a 5.71 so far this year with a 1.35 60 ft. Best 1/4 was 8.83 @ 162 1.34 60ft. Finally got it to go a 1.2x 60 ft and we lost the trans. Once we dialed it in we found the converter is too loose as well - have a new one in the box from FTI waiting to go in once transmission is in from Jakes. Here are a few pics and videos from this year:
