Did your get your alternator issue sorted? I picked up this F-body 160a alt. Fixed my voltage issues and was a bolt-in deal. I'm at 13.8 WOT now. Was down in the 12's like you mentioned.

No I haven't yet but I have a 145 amp truck alternator with a bad voltage regulator I was going to rebuild. Looking at my data log when both fuel pumps kick on I drop down to 12.7ish volts. The problem is a new voltage regulator cost just about the same price as a junkyard unit. The bigger AD244 case truck alternator will not currently fit as it hits my hot side so I need to build some new brackets to mount it.
Does that CS130D truly put out 160 amps? Reason I ask is I talked to an alternator rebuild place and they said it's really hard to get more than 100 amps out of the cs130d case size. If you do get more amps it's only at high rpm and it puts out less amps at idle. The AD244 truck amp puts out quite a bit of juice at idle.

No idea what the actual amps are, but I was in a similar boat. When the MSD boot a pump came online, voltage dropped to 12.2. I tried a new Autozone 100a(was under warranty), then tried a new self-exciting 100a I bought for another car. Neither fixed the issue. The 160 alt seems to have fixed it anyway. Cruises in the 14v range and doesn’t go below 13.8 WOT. Even with my retardo huge fan, headlights, and alky pump on. So I assume it’s putting out more than the other was anyway. What’s really odd is the original Autozone unit worked for 3 years without issue and held 13.8v too. So maybe the others weren’t actually putting out 100a and this new “160a” unit does?
Should also mention I installed a larger OD alt pulley. So it’s turning even less RPM than it normally would.

I finally got a hold of the guy that took some videos of my car from the last race.
15 psi, best 60' of the year 1.346 on shot old style M/T 275. I can't wait to see what these D/A rear afcos do and some 275 pros! 1.20 60' hopefully!
16 psi I think
Best pass of the year 9.17, maybe 16-17 psi hard to tell with a 2 bar map but Im outta gear for the 1/4. 5.866 @ 119.47 1/8 though.

So it's been awhile since I've updated this but I've been thrashing and still have a ton to do. I've upgraded the feed line to -8 PTFE and installed dual 450s into the stock bucket which took me forever. I fed the back of both rails with a Y so I should be able to turn it up. Pulled the trans to look it over and installed a billet forward hub, plugged the overflow and moved it back. Made my own billet catch can that will self drain back into the trans. I also did the pump restriction mod for the converter pressure circuit and bought a ptc converter.
Rear end is tore apart installing 3.40 pro gears hopefully this weekend I can put that and the trans back in the car. Oh I also had a a2a intercooler built by chiseled performance using a Garrett core. Talk about fin density. I will upload pics when I get home Photobucket sucks on my phone.

Pain in the *** here but it all fit kinda dual 450s
The ole Goldenrod 595 filter setup, not easy to find room on an fbody for this bad boy. Also I kept my stock feed line filter which is now my return so I have lots of filtration and flow on the cheap
Chrs1313 dual fuel pump harness saved me a bunch of time, I hate wiring. Thanks man!
Y to the back of the rails
Checking out the trans and doing some upgrades but all looked great inside.
Relocated the vent tube as I have a carbon fiber shield and all it did was spray all over the car.
Billet catch can I made on the CNC Lathe for the trans vent
Converter pressure circuit mod in the pump .110 restriction hole. Thanks Hutch!
PTC 15-0 Converter specced by Dust Bradford
FTI Billet forward hub I modified for torrngton roller bearing clearance
Badass Garrett a2a core intercooler from Robert @ Chiseled Performance, awesome dude I highly recommend him.
Nothing compares to a Garrett a2a core look at that fin density
Gear swap time, moser through bolt case with 10 bolt pinion support. 3.40 35 spline pinion pro gear.
Big *** expensive US Gears

Good stuff!
Surprised you don't have an Ultrabell on that trans.
What converter were you running? The PTC will be nice.
I need a new IC. I will have to contact those guys with a drawing and see if they can make me one. My little Treadstone isn't cutting it at all.
Looks like good weather is on the way. Fortunately, you haven't missed much racing thus far in the soggy PNW!
Looking forward to seeing your new results.

Thanks guys. I highly recommend chiseled, draw up anything you need and he will make it. Stick with a Garrett core if they have the size you need but he can also do bell cores. I had an old Neal chance nitrous converter in it that was way too tight. I ordered the new mt et r 275 a few weeks ago and who knows when they will ever show up. I still have a ton of work to do, finish the rear, install trans, rewire the alternator, mount my kirkey seat, and have someone update the cage to an 8.50 cert. Feels like I will never be ready.
I just have the carbon fiber shield on the trans. I've read so many things going back and forth about using the ultra bell causing more stress vs not so who even knows. My only goal is to drive to the track run 8.9 and drive home but we know how that goes.

Seemed easier two years ago, but as I've slowly moved forward, it's quite a task. Especially on a tightwad budget.
Dyno operator/tuner don't pay real well.

That would be fun, I had a blast down there last year. It will all depend if my car is legal or not by then. I would hate to drag is all the way down there and get the boot!

Spent the entire memorial weekend thrashing, almost there but I have a bunch of little things to do. I got the rear end installed with new dual heim end DA afcos. Transmission is back in with the PTC converter with just under 3/16 pump clearance. Lowering the kmember to pull the trans sucks *** but thats all bolted back up.
Got some new 275 pros to try, shooting for 1.2x 60' with the shocks and pros. New intercooler barely fits, hopefully it's not hanging low enough to smack in case of a wheelie. Tig was out of argon, doh need to finish mounting the IC. Have I ever mentioned how much I hate the Lokar trans dipstick? I spill trans fluid all over the place every time.
I was a little worried about sitting for a while with e85 but she fired right up!
