With all this turbo love, I'm so glad I have a Procharger. Who knows where they are manufactured, but they are a US based company.... and you pay for that.

As long as this is kept civil, we'll let this thread go... it's already been reported by someone for being pointless, but as long as we stay somewhat on topic, I have no issue with some healthy discussion.

Either a douche or a paid poster.

Hey, I just get the email notifications.... and just putting on the 'staff moderator' hat for a minute to read the thread first before doing anything.

The way I look at it, if this thread has enough interest to generate some more views and activity, while being civil, have at it.

So is a turbonetics 7875 better than an on3 7875? No one likes to answer that question. What about the turbonetics 7665 and the on3 7665?

Its so easy to reverse engineer these things because so many "name brand" units are Chinese with "name brands" slapped on them. If I had it to do over again I would have saved the $1000 ish and bought an on3 7875 over my 7575 and possibly be done already.

Having a half assed build is a matter of perception also.Everyone has a certain level of skill and what might be half assed to you couldve taken someone a very long time and all their effort to acheive.I dont judge a build if its not as pretty or doesnt have the best name brand parts as long as the owner of the project is happy with their results then who cares. If said person bitched about every detail after the build and couldnt obtain their goal..then yea id point out where things couldve been done better etc.

I can say i got 0 problems with my on3 7875.I choose it for its low cost, sizing, and it was my first turbo build. My goal was 550whp for a daily street/strip ride. It took me a learning curve of figuring out details about proper drainage, pcv etc to not smoke oil out the pipes. That wasnt the turbo's fault..it was my own and once i got passed those issues the turbo performed and i hit number beyond my goals.I thought for the abuse its taken almost 2 yrs later that i would need to buy a more expensive replacement but its been flawless.I cant knock any other brands, sure their are better quality units outs there that will spool faster..less backpressure etc but doesnt make it a bad turbo for a budget build.Even the best brands out there started from being no name small guys that earned their way to the top and had their issues becoming who they are today..and still arent perfect.

The argument about supporting your country and the brands made in USA well Im in Canada, all my parts come all over the globe. Was your cell phone or tv..computer all 100% hand made in USA to complain about buying chinese turbo?

I personally feel like what the person wants to do with they're car then more Murica to them. I've been running used Turbonetics turbos for the last three years and they've served me very well. For me I'll only ever install used parts because the whole car is built with hand me down stuff and that's part of the fun for me. I've never seen a Turbonetics gripe thread and never met someone who had an issue with one and with me being on my second used unit, a T7875 so far its flawless and I paid $800 for it and its practically new. Is that more than a Chinese unit, of course but when the unit new retails for about $1,400 that's a pretty damn good deal to me and worth the extra piece of mind. There is no right or wrong way to make horsepower in that there are so many different ideas of what acceptable horsepower is based on who your talking to.
