Speed density is better on literally everything IMO. Way easier to tune and one less variable to worry (at any level) about.

Even on a stockish daily driver I would tune it in SD. My old truck had identical AFR in dead summer at 100+ as it did in the winter at less than 0 actual temps. Drove great all the time. Same for my trans am.

I currently run a maf on my car at 13#, but im also at altitude so that gives me a bit of extra freq to play with. That being said my ve maps are tuned to +-2% and i should probably go to SD as im pe hacking to suppliment fueling where it needs it up top. The car runs so good right now im not going to mess with it. This winter im changing to a forged 370" motor, at that time ill install a 3bar map sensor and convert to SD.

No reason not to go SD, IMO.

I run a 4" Tube with a Card Slot Style MAF in it. Its definately doable, and if youre concerned about passing OBD2 inspection, its a good way to go...That being said..you're in FL.

I would just run an SD tune. I plan on keeping the MAF in place and running an SD 3 bar tune, i can always change tunes for inspection.

large MAF's can be scaled once you hit the 512g/s limit, but you lose some resolution..tuning is a bit trickier, etc. Thats why everyone just goes SD.

I prefer the maf for vehicles below 450rwhp

maf is reliable and very fast, easy to tune, 1 hour max vs the 3-10 hours I have to put into an SD map to get it where I enjoy what I am seeing.

After 450~ the maf is generally too large to have good low speed resolution.
