Highest mileage actual LS1? Just curious as to how many high mileage LS1 boosted cars there are out there. I just turboed my 98 z28 that has 189k. It is a bone stock LS1!! It's running a on3 76 mm turbo @7lbs, 16* timing afr around 10.8:1-11.6:1.

Here is how I feel about OEM bottom ends (this is just a guess so its worthless but fun)
with 120k starting mileage
450rwhp 50,000+ miles
480rwhp 35,000 to 45,000 miles
520rwhp 28,000~
550rwhp 19,000~
600rwhp 14,000~
700rwhp 4,000 to 8,000
tuned to 11.0 to 11.5 and running 9 to 10* of timing for the most part on 93 with 9:1 compression

Er, I extrapolated the data from the thread (reliability list). Most people in the 700rwhp bracket for example see the posted mileage between engine swaps, when using a stock engine. I just filled in the gaps wherever there is missing data (and interpolated it the best I could), consider it a worst case scenario list (you can do better, but shouldn't do much worse) if that makes more sense.
While the mileage can be high, how the engine was maintained goes a long way-remember with overdrive and lock up converters, the actual RPM's the engine has turned over is lower than old stuff with no overdrive.
Rings and bearings are so cheap, I like to just swap them in. More so if your even going to open up the gaps.
I have an engine with 80K miles, prob never had the oil changed, worst I have seen, it goes to the shop for a comp. degreasing, cam bearings-I don't know how it even ran, lol
